LandMARK Country Inn

Absolutely loved this Inn!!! The manager was wonderful and I felt like an instant friend! Great price as we'd just walked out of Super 8 as they wanted 170.00 a night! Paid 89. A night for a quiet, lovely room with country views. We went back 3 days later on our way home.

Great spot to stop. Stumbled on this place while traveling and decided to stop for the night. Front desk staff was super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. They have a pool but we were too tired to use it. Talking to some other guests and they mentioned it was nice. Absolutely would stay here again. Super easy interstate access. Very quiet location as the rooms face away from the road.

This place is absolutely perfect! We liked it so much that we stayed on our way out to the Black Hills and then even on our way back. The rooms are VERY CLEAN (never experienced cleaner, even at the so-called upscale places) and they are decorated so uniquely and fun. We got two rooms right next to each other- ours was handicapped since I broke my foot and our teenage boys stayed in the Asian- themed room next door. Essentially everything you could ask for this place has, it's very quiet and idyllic, the pool was warm, clean and inviting and the owner- Mark- just the nicest person. We enjoyed chatting with him. I accidentally cracked one of the pool loungers and offered to pay for it (I felt so bad!!) and he said not to worry about it, was more concerned about MY well-being. Honestly, I've stayed in MANY hotels and motels in my life and this place really just blew them out of the water, no joke. The price we got for TWO big clean comfortable rooms we would have had to pay for just one in that area. Also check out the Pioneer Auto Museum and the Circle E Drive-In in Murdo for incredible burgers! Breakfast was various donuts and pastry type foods, not super heavy, but effective to get you on the road the next morning.
We absolutely would stay again and will recommend to anyone we know traveling that way!!

This place was lovely. We got a warm welcome and the room was squeaky clean. The beds were comfortable. The outside was fixed so nice too and everything was so quiet. They had breakfast and also ice to fill our cooler! Would definitely recommend!

What a Gem, Fair prices, clean rooms , very cool retro themes. Convenient, can’t say enough good things about this mom and pop hotel.

I was just passing through Murdo when I found this gem of a place. I noticed their billboard and gave them a call while gassing up. They were so friendly and inviting on the phone, that I decided to stay the night.

It is an independent Inn and definitely not a typical chain. Which just across the Interstate there are those choices, and they will cost more. Which I don't know why you would choose to pay more for less friendly customer service and dingy generic rooms.

At LandMARK Country Inn they are truly friendly, helpful, and caring, with impeccably clean and beautiful rooms. And each room is uniquely decorated and has an artfully created theme.

I travel through S.D. on I-90 a few times a year, and usually just gas up at Murdo and keep on going. I will now try to make the timing convenient to stay here, instead of some generic chain down the road.

We always stay here. The rates are excellent, and the rooms are really lovely. Beds are comfortable, and they offer a small continental breakfast now. Mark, the owner, is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. A great stopping place in the way west from Wisconsin!

Hidden gem! Glad the chain hotels were booked and we found this place. Beautifully maintained property. High marks for cleanliness. The indoor pool is warm and open late (till 12pm) that was the cherry on top for the kids, especially since we got in late at around 10pm.

Not wanting to stop early in Sioux Falls and getting in too late for Rapid City, we started scanning the map for a place to stay in between the nowhere-ness of this stretch of S.D. Google reviews luckily pointed us to the LandMark Inn. What a great oasis this inn was! When I called about availability and price, the owner gave me all the requested info and gave me his estimate on when we should arrive based on our location, and said he would have pool towels ready for us upon check in, which he did when we arrived at 10 p.m. The room was comfy and clean, and the pool was a refreshing 90°, perfect wind down after a long day on the road. The price was great and the owners are as well. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it without hesitation. Thank you for a great stay!

The LandMARK is hands down my family's favorite hotel ever!! We have many wonderful memories staying frequently since 2007. They take great pride in their establishment and make you feel at home!❤

Needed a place to stay so pulled off, went thru town (wanted a pool to swim) nothing looked good then we saw sign for LandMARK Country Inn and decided to go in. So glad we did. Had room available, Mark was incredibly friendly, but not awkward over the top, room was amazing at a great price. Landscape was impeccable. You can tell everyone that works there truly loves what they do as everything was perfect. Highly recommended! I've already told everyone I know about this hidden gem.

Was very impressed with the welcoming nature of the host, the room was stunning, I took pictures, The View was beautiful and I've already recommended this place to some friends. It's so easily off the highway and their continental breakfast was quite nice.

This place is a gem. Priced right. Very peaceful setting. Very friendly. Great accommodations and a heated indoor pool. Clean and well maintained.

Kind souls, look no further, this is the place you need to stop. Tremendously amazing service from Mark at the desk, room 22 was incredibly clean, passed my white glove test! Debbie does a phenomenal job at cleaning the rooms. I chatted with Mark for quite a bit, and had a wonderful stay here. I would give 6 stars if I could. I will definitely stop here any time I am passing through. This place is a destination. Pool was great! The staff here put their heart in and you can tell.

The receptionist, Mark, was such a wonderful/welcoming person! My boyfriend and I are trying to find a place to stay in South Dakota, and most places were booked. Luckily we’ve found this place. We called the site to make reservations, and Mark was super friendly when he talks to us over the phone. When we drove to the country inn, it was like driving to a cute little town with a long driveway. Mark welcomed us with warmth and a smile on his face. He told us a bit about the town and good places to eat. He even gives us a map in case we got lost in this little town😂He and the staffs were super friendly by saying a simple “hello” with a smile. The rooms we stayed in was “Asian” theme, and it felt like I was in Asia with the decorations and color. The room was nice and clean. Good AC, the refrigerator was cold, the water was running good, and the room was very spacious and organized. This place also has an inside pool with a water temp of “90F!” If you forget your swimsuit, they even have a drawer of swimsuits with various sizes for the guests. After use, they can just put it in the bucket, and it’ll be washed and cleaned. They have a separate room for breakfast filled with bagels & cream cheese, white bread, juice, coffee, donuts, and muffins in the morning. This price is fairly reasonable to stay at. I was so happy with the service and quality of the rooms! I definitely will book this place again 😊

If I could give them all the stars in the universe I would! This is by far the coziest, cleanest, most fascinating hotel I've ever stayed at! If I'm ever passing through South Dakota this will always be my 1st choice to stay in!! Its one of a kind and I feel like everybody should stay at least once in their lifetime!! The owners are absolutely incredible such genuine kind hearted people! They have everything you could imagine to make sure you feel at home and are satisfied, from themed rooms with pet accommodations to bathing suits you can borrow for all ages if you happen to forget yours! There aren't enough words to describe how amazing this hotel is!!

My family and I enjoyed staying here last year so this year on our way through we decided to stay again! The rooms are clean and comfortable. There's a pool if you decide to swim. Breakfast was offered and was good. Very friendly staff!

Passing through from Canada. Super clean! Kind, caring, welcoming staff, great rates, rooms are big with all amenities you could ask for….a step above your other hotels. The big hotel chains should check this place out…they could learn a few things! Highly recommend if you are in the area. Thank you Country Inn for a great experience….fantastic facility….did I mention clean?

This place is a GEM! We were calling around to find a place to stay last minute and was fortunate to find LandMARK. It’s seasonal so opens June 1. We got a room with two queen beds and a jacuzzi bath tub for less than $100. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. They also have a heated indoor pool open until midnight. There’s free breakfast in the morning with bagels, toast, and an assortment of mini donuts.
