WEDDING REVIEW!!! HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE!!!

My husband and I had our wedding here 10/3/21 and it was beyond perfect!

First of all, the venue is absolutely stunning especially in the fall. It makes for a perfect rustic fall wedding! It exactly fit the aesthetic we were going for!
Second, the food was INCREDIBLE! It was loved and raved about by each and every one of our guests! And they even let us take left overs (which we thoroughly enjoyed)!!
Third, the pricing was OUTSTANDING! Including food it is truly a price you can’t beat - and even though it was very affordable, it wasn’t as the saying goes “you get what you pay for”. To us, the day felt like it was worth a million dollars! You just can’t put a price on how amazing our day was, but we are so thankful to the Afton River Club for their affordable pricing that definitely helped us make our dream day HAPPEN!
And lastly, the customer service we received totally blew us away! Kyle helped us throughout the ENTIRE wedding planning process with more than just the venue and food - he even recommended places to get a cake and was there for any question we had about how to plan a wedding!

I would 1,000% recommend to anyone to have their wedding here! If I could do it all over I would still choose The Afton River Club to host my wedding day!

Good food, good land and sea buffet on Fridays. The owners are Very charitable with a free holiday dinner every year (or maybe it's lunch, cant remember). Family owned and operated.
Great outdoor seating on a nice deck on the river.
Interesting historically as well. Used to be a train station until it was moved from the tracks to the river by locals.

Update 2023! Loving it! We got zip zap shrimp, boneless wings with habanero sauce and carrots to soothe the heat, and mozzarella sticks and they were great! Servers name was Kyle very awesome dude. Can't wait to go back again soon! Thanks guys!

Good food. Great atmosphere. Wonderful views. Great place for a wedding celebration or any special occasion. The management is really great to work with.

First time in many years that I had a chance to go to the River club and it did not disappoint us! Usually a buffet is sub par but they find a way to provide very high quality food especially the seafood! Will def be making this a common place to eat!

They're Halloween party was awesome!! Lots of amazing costumes!! Veryone there was very friendly. Good times!! Can't wait for next year.

We had our wedding here . The food was great, the service was top notch and the atmosphere was awesome. Everything turned out perfectly.

Second year we went for Easter buffet, although busy because it is very popular, we loved it all. Prime rib delicious! We all left very full and with smiles.

Always great food and great service. The Land and Sea buffet on Friday evenings is very good with a large selection even if you're not a seafood person. My favorite app is their
homemade boneless wings. Mondays they offer a wonderful pasta special for a very reasonable price. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Family owned and operated and they are always giving back to the community. Give the River Club a try!!!!!

What a great venue! Thank you to everyone who attended our dance on Saturday, November 24th with SUNDOWN!

Kyle is a great bartender and very conscious of what's going on around him. We were there for drinks evening he made looked great tried new England clam chowder and it was homemade and awesome...Great atmosphere and a most see...

My husband and I just got married here on the 7th of October, and I just wanted to comment on what a delightful experience it was! Kyle was such a great person to work with, very kind, thorough, and understanding. The service they gave us was wonderful and very organized. I found the staff that worked our wedding to be so kind, vivacious, and very ready to meet our needs. The location is lovely and very well kept with a home-away-from-home feel. The food is and was so good for our wedding we enjoyed it and continue to hear from our guests how much they enjoyed it as well! So thank you Kyle and your wonderful staff for all your hard work, you made out day like a dream!

My wife and I had our wedding here last summer, and it everything went amazingly well. They were very accommodating to our needs and desires, and for a price that was extremely reasonable.

We had a decent sized ceremony with around 100 people on the deck overlooking the Susquehanna, and then went right across the bridge to Foster park to take pictures with our families in the large gazebo there.

We then had our reception in the banquet room which went off without a hitch Everyone enjoyed the food and dancing and had a great time.

I would certainly recommend anyone who is looking to get married to consider this venue which is a little farther away than some places but is more than worth the extra distance.
