The Covered Wagon Café

Some of the best midwestern food I've ever had. I had the Hot Hamburger and the Mashed potatoes and their veggies, and it was AMAZING. The other person ordered the buffalo burger and we couldn't have been more satisfied. The coffee was actually good, not watered down. This place is AMAZING and I think they deserve your business! SO GOOD.

These guys are AMAZING! If you are a fellow trucker I 100% recommend this place! Meals are more than worth what you pay!! So so good and filling! Coffee is always on!! Eggs were PERFECT!!!!!! Walk over from the pilot!!!

Very good service and food. LOVED the rib tip dinner special and and bacon burger with delicious 🤤 golden brown fries to DIE for... This is on my route it's a must to stop in more often

Great place, been coming in here for years. Last year it was taken over by new management and they are awesome. The waitresses are the best, but watch out for the locals, haha.

Glad we ate at this restaurant, let's be honest not many choices but our family was ready for lunch after visiting the Badlands. We ordered mozzarella sticks, cheeseburger, Patty melt, BLT and Philly cheese sandwich, all very good and hot French fries! Wish they offered milkshakes!

Nice clean little Cafe. We were even greeted by patrons when we came in! The waitress was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent!

I am super picky when it comes to food with flavor and quality, I had the cheese curds, Buffalo burger, fries, and homeade cherry cobbler for dessert. Everything was absolutely amazing. And my server was so kind! Deserves way more then 5 stars

It was a small restaurant with a feel that locals enjoyed meeting up at. It was busy when we were there. Our waitress was personable and very efficient. Our breakfast came out quickly and tasted delicious!

First off. Very welcoming. Walked in and didn't know they were 1 minute from closing and they served us anyways. Talked with the locals and the lady serving was really nice and helpful. Great food too! Reuben sandwich was really good.

Closed on Thanksgiving. These birds had to seat themselves on the patio Thanksgiving morning.

I highly recommend this place for the entertainment -- even when they're closed.

Super friendly staff, great food, try the Indian taco!! Have a bowl of ice cream and walk through the amazing collection of history.

September 25th 2023. Stopped at noon for lunch. Food was good. Service was excellent. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stopped here simply because it was near the hotel we stayed at the previous night (4/19/22) I’m very glad we did! Excellent service and entertaining as well! It seemed like most of the other customers were locals in this small town, but we felt completely at home. Our server/waitress (the only one) was amazing. The food was good and so are the prices. I highly recommend.

I just stopped in on my drive back to Kansas City and it was a cute little place! there were a couple of younger gals in there and a gentleman who were extremely friendly. I ordered something very simple, a grilled cheese with tomato and fries and a cup of their homemade chili and I had let them know I was in a bit of a rush and the food came out super fast and was perfect. I always get my fries extra crispy and nobody ever does it right but these were awesome. My waitress took very very good care of me and was super attentive… Afterwards I got some ice cream and it was yummy as well. Thank you for the great customer service!

As far as small town Cafes go... It is outstanding. The food is great and extremely reasonable.

I had a very delicious meal! Good down home cooking. Reasonable price too. Great place to stop as you travel along I-90 through South Dakota. Great decor. Love the mural on the wall outside the bathrooms. Everything was clean and fresh looking. The pies looked very good but didn't order because I didn't want to feel too full as we sat in the car driving for many more hours. We had a friendly helpful waitress.

It's open for breakfast😁. Great food, simple foods eggs, bacon, toast, omelette....

We were on a cross country drive from KY to ID that was cut short by an accident we were in right down the street from the Covered Wagon. In the midst of trying to figure out how to get home we decided to get take out from here. The staff at this cafe were so kind and the food was wonderful. To have a warm meal after a difficult night was so comforting. We are thankful for this business.

We stopped at the Covered Wagon Cafe on our way across SD. It is a small Cafe, but the staff have big hearts! We were welcomed right away, seated, and our orders taken promptly. We had the French dip sandwich and each took the soup of the day. The food was so good and the portion sizes were large. My youngest kids split a chicken nugget kids meal and they each had plenty to eat!
