Monkey Island Coffee

So glad Lynn and Cindy are gone. Back when I used to go there it was always a 1 star review because Lynn and Cindy were badmouthing another employee, a bald man. This man was always very kind to me and generally would mitigate the hostility of Lynn and Cindy when I was there. I have stayed up late nights thanking God that Lynn and Cindy are gone now, as the food selection has VASTLY improved and there are more drinks to be had. So glad that Lynn and Cindy were voted off the island.

I have fallen in love with this place. Super friendly staff. Amazing coffee. The cutest set up inside. Highly recommend! The cookies & cream cold brew has become my all time favorite. My daughter enjoys the Curious George! The breakfast sandwiches are quick to order and delicious!

Wow, fantastic coffee. Deep robust flavor. Super nice people in there. Highly recommend check it out not only for the company but also for the scenery. I got a buddy that says shipyard right next door is also delicious.

Update: still amazing, I usually get the Curious George and a sausage croissant breakfast sandwich. I just realized that the price is really affordable. Usually it's just the flavors that keep me coming back, but now... Well one more reason.

Great place!! If you’re looking for a nice local good place to get coffee, this is it! The staff is so nice and the drinks are amazing! They even have a brass monkey that is orange juice and espresso! How cool. Definitely recommend 😊

MY FAVORITE LITTLE COFFE SHOPPE! Not only are the drinks and sandwiches delish, but the lovely staff makes each visit an absolute treat. They are pet friendly, so on my days off I bring my pup Winnie in with me, and let’s just say it’s become her favorite thing. They have a treat jar for the doggos, and Manager Lynn always greets Winnie with love and lots of pets before giving her some yummy snacks. Every time we go Winnie looks for her new best friend Lynn, and she sits pretty hoping for cuddles and cookies! THANK YOU Monkey Island Coffee, for always providing the greatest customer service not only to me, but also my fur family! We love you guys and appreciate all that you do!

Absolutely delightful place. I had an iced mocha, large sized, only $5.00! They had a bunch of pastries and warm breakfast sandwiches as well, All very reasonably priced. If you need a coffee hangout in Lorain, this should be the one.

Excellent service and knowledgeable baristas. Ad an absolutely delicious sugar free caramel macchiato with almond milk. Family members tried their specialty coffee brews and said they were outstanding. I highly recommend any of their breakfast sandwiches made on a crispy, flakey fresh croissant!

We can't say enough good things about Monkey Island! The people are awesome! The drinks are fabulous! This will always be our favorite!

Always the greatest and nicest staff! I’ve never had a bad coffee from them and they’ve got a huge selection. Usually come up two or three times a week!

Good place. A plus offering oat milk for their drinks. We got the curious george and a chai both were very good. We’re not in Lorain often but i have a go to spot when we are 👍

Always great customer service, coffee and food. In that order. It's a go to spot in Lorain for coffee and it's nice to be able walk along the Black River in any weather.
