Heroes in action.. I always watch the tv show 911. Today I got my first real life experience with the Barstow Fire Department. My brothers truck drives cross country and the house he rents caught fire. Luckily it was the swamp cooler and no other damage, but they arrived quickly. They moved fast and efficiently. On top of that they were friendly informative and reassuring. It’s nice to know that the people in our community really do serve and take care of us! Thank you so much.🥰🥰🥰💪🏽

While on a day trip, we stopped in Barstow to let our 4-year old play in a park. He saw the giant fire helmet, so we walked over to check it out. Several firemen were washing vehicles, and my son waved hello to them. To his surprise, they all came over to greet him, they gave him Jr. Frirefighter gear, gave a tour of the firehouse, and even gave him a ride in the fire truck, sirens and all!

Thank you all for the experience for our son...he will never forget it. And thank you for your service. I read several poor reviews, but that is not reflective of reality in my experience. You all work very hard for the community, and harder than most when the bad things are happening. Good job, Firefighters!

So how long do these extortionist thieves need 1 penny on every sale in town? This is criminal enterprise, apparently a fundraiser was out of the question. How many more times am I going to see them driving a whole fire truck to the grocery store rather than sending someone out with a car?
