We came in here because we were looking at getting a used vehicle here in town and the salesman told us to bring it to his mechanic so he could check it out at no charge to us. I had told the salesman there was a noise in the rear but that was the only issue, which it was. But the next day after it's "inspected" I get a call from the mechanic stating there is a noise in the rear and it's running on 5 out of 8 cylinders... I've worked on cars for 10 years, I know what a vehicle not running on a cylinder, let alone 3, sounds and drives like. That's not making sense to me but after about 5 minutes on the phone with him he tells me "Don't worry buddy I'll let him know the two issues it has and I'll try to get you the most for your trade in". Next day I call the dealership and I'm told "The mechanic says there's multiple dead cylinders, the whole rear end needs replaced, there's major leaks out of the transmission, engine, the whole car is a mess"... the car is parked in a garage and we've never had anything leak onto the floor. I told him I would get my car checked out at a different auto shop because there was obviously something fishy going on here between the dealership and auto shop. After that I was told by the salesman "..You can have other shops look at it if you want but it's not going to change my mind from what my mechanic told me..." Needless to say, I did have other shops look at it. I took it to Oreillys first to scan for any misfire codes and they came up with none. Then I took it to a autoshop in Hailey, and two in Bellevue and neither were able to identify a leak, nor any misfire or dead cylinders after compression tests and obd2 hook up. WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO ANYONE. SHADY BUSINESS AND SHADY PEOPLE

I am writing this as I ponder what makes people (car dealers) not be honest with their customers....I have a customer that has brought in a 2003 rav4 that over heated(she is from Hailey Id) she bought the car form Carrs 4 U 2 in May...she drove it to colorado and it just over heated....I just tore into this moteor and to be honest the only person who wouldnt know what was going on is this lady...ITS VERY OBVIOUS....that the head gasket has been slowly leaking over time. Well we tore it down and sure enough the amount of congealed anti freeze in the cylinders is just beyond me. the antifreeze crystalized by the oil filter also could have not been noticed by a mechanic or dealer in good standing...this car was sold to her by a bad dealership with no ethical compass...shame on them...she now has a car note on a car that should have never beeen put on a lot or that should have never been sold ....Why...this is all I ask cause this lady is just trying to survive like the rest of us ...but of course the lot owner says well you baught it and you signed a contract...WTG Hailey Idaho....what a great lot of guys you are!!!!
Oh just did my research....seems the guy that sold her the 1200 dollar "warranty" knew this was going to happen...but pre existing in any way does not count....same owner for warrnaty company , car lot , and financing company......SHADY! So heres to you! May all the good car Karma come to you Carrs 4U2in Hailey Idaho!!!

please do not trust this company.....I am the Lady the mechanic Joe is discussing...I put down 2500 dollars on this car....It was my life line to my job and life....the car blew up on June 19...I bought it on May 1st....They had me drive the car around so that the mileage would go up so I could use the warranty to fix the steering something the third day I had it.....after a couple of weeks i finally got the car fixed...then I drove to Colorado for work...it broke down in the desert ....on the side of the road I tried to call Gary Carr who sold me the car.....He told me well what do you expect with the miles you put on it....Then I sat on the side of the road for 5 hours....finally found someone to tow it to Grand Junction....280 dollars....got a ride out to Crawford Co were i work on a ranch...left the car at the mechanic....they started with the water pump....nope....then they got down to the head gasket...been blown with a slow leak for a while....looked at the block....BAD bad bad....called the owner Gus....who i found out owns the finance company, the lot and the warranty company.....Warranty will not fix the issue because it was pre existing....so it cost me 3100 to the mechanic who did the tear down just labor....37 hours of mechanic labor.....the man Gus calls me to remind me that he fired Gary ( I just found out that was a lie because he was half owner in the company) ( he just left) and that although they sold me a bad car I have to keep making the payments as per contract...what a horrible horrible person....I'VE HAD TO QUIT MY JOB BECAUSE DON'T HAVE TRANSPORTATION AND I TOOK A BAR TENDING JOB THAT'S A MILE A WAY .....NOW I WALK IN THE SNOW AND RAIN TO WORK AT A JOB THAT I MAKE 2/3 LESS FROM.....DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR A CAR.
