Stepped back into time about three decades ago! Plus, one can feel the nostalgia as this place is truly authentic! Barb & Herb have been taking care of their clients / guests here for many years.

Cozy and very memorable…It’ll make you want to bring your friends back so you can all say, Wow!

Had an awesome time chugging beers and eating steak. The afterward, Rory & Sal did karaoke and sang a killer version of Love Shack!

We loved stopping by to play pool and enjoy some delicious homemade food! Wow does this place have stories to tell! Barb is a jewel and Herb is the perfect host as well! We are saddened that we waited so long to visit! Hope to see you soon! God Bless!

Great old place
You can get lunch!

Beautiful drive and definitely worth it. This in an old stage stop and a registered historic sight...the old stagecoach safe is still in the building. The back grass area shaded with huge cottonwood trees and roaming cattle.
Our group had a couple of beers and and hit the road (designated driver at the wheel), we really enjoyed ourselves.

Owners are so sweet, great old time atmosphere! Good place to relax and forget about the modern and hectic world!

THE most authentic western bar and restaurant in Arizona.

I used to go there as a kid when I would come to see my grandmother. This is a OG location a must see if in the area. I will visit the next time im in Northern Arizona.

Loved the owners. Spent 2 and 1/2 hours listening to stories about the historic building and their time as owners. The building is from 1863. It was an interesting experience.

We had a great time talking to the 2 wonderful owners. They sure have some good stories. Very interesting. And the hamburger, cheeseburger & barbeque beef sandwich we the best I've had in quite awhile. They all 3 came with a beautiful, delicious salad & chips. A nice drive, good food, good people.

Every time we go on motorcyle ride up or back from Prescott we stop of this place. Awesome to look around. GO !

For some reason this place just popped in my mind tonight. We had a bunch of buddies doing a ride and we stopped in (like 8 years ago). I was talking to my girlfriend about great places in AZ to stop at and why I thought of Kirkland. Really neat place and friendly staff. We had 8 riders and all taken care of very quick! (Only mention that because some comments mentioned slow service or understaffed, but it was totally fine for our big group!!!) Great place!

This place is great for drinks & an awesome steak! The couple who own the place cooked our steaks & gave a lot of personal attention to how we wanted our food cooked and that everything was just right! And the place is full of old western casual character. You gotta stop in & see this place. Don't just drive by & think "We should stop there sometime" like we did. It's a nice break & great for supper too.

Authentic Old West Saloon/Restaurant. Met the owners Herb & Barbara Carabeo, who run the place in Kirkland, AZ. Herb is a rancher and still lives the cowboy life at 80+ years old. Barbara prepares and serves the meals which were very good and comes with a large salad.
Unfortunately they no longer serve steaks on the Steakhouse side of the establishment due county issues that shut down his magnificent wagon wheel pit grill.
The place isn't fancy and doesn't have immediate curb appeal but once you enter all that changes.
It's a bit of a drive from Prescott, but we'll worth it! The hospitality is amazing! If you want to really know the colorful history of this place take the time to introduce yourself to Herb and Barbara. You'll be glad you did!

We loved this place. Went for a ride and stopped in for a couple to take care of our parched throats. Very old and historical building, cool stuff on the walls, the owner is a hoot. Biker friendly. A+++ Roadhouse to stop on a beautiful ride.

This is one of our go-to places to have a drink and a wonderful steak dinner. The owners Herb and Barb are down-home country folk, the best people you'll ever meet. Great old country bar with a ton of history. Stop in and ask for a tour, check out the old bank safe and ask about the ghosts!

Well worth the drive and the owners are so nice I had a great conversation with them. I will be returning and renting a room next time.
