This hospital has saved my life more than once. Dr Gonzales is a top notch physician. He is a blessing to this community. An excellent listener and a calm caring demeanor are half the road to recovery. Having this Dr handle my complex medical diagnosis and balance my medication gave me a long period of physical stability and reduced pain
When Dr Gonzales left for Iraq I saw one nurse and everything fell apart. She wanted to take a few of my meds away and I refused. I'm not getting better as I have a degenerative condition in my spine. The nurse wanted to take my gabapentin, opioids and muscle relaxers. Everything that managed my pain. I'm on palliative care now and will be comfortable from here on.out.
Great little hospital.

We were traveling from Texas and my husband forgot part of his mask for his CPAP machine. The ER nurses were able to find him a mask that he could use overnight. We are so thankful for their kindness and helpfulness.

I was traveling and ended up in the middle of New Mexico . I am 11 weeks pregnant and had some bleeding , I stopped in to be checked out . I had dr Overton and his nurse . I’ve been to tons of hospitals with my disabled son , and I can not say enough good things about this place . Although my stir ups were a chair and a stool 🤣 the staff was friendly , professional and timely . If I ever had to choose a hospital again , it would be this one . 10/10 recommend

traveling through, i stopped in to get my covid shot. after getting it and while waiting the 15 minutes after, i had a full blown panic attack- how embarrassiing. one nurse spent extra time with me while i calmed down, taking my vitals and standing outside with me encouraging me while i caught hold of myself and calmed.

i wish i got her name, but what she did for me was so appreciated. if she happens to read this, thank you again for your kindness.

Awesome facility and staff..... we were traveling home from Grand Canyon. Stopped in Santa Rosa to see the Blue Hole and dislocated my shoulder, this was nearest hospital. They were very attentive and explained what they were going to do to put it back in place. We were back on the road in less than three hours.
PS - take caution steps at Blue Hole are very slippery!!!

While traveling on Interstate Route 40 one of our party experienced severe pain in the foot. Medical assistance was determined necessary and Guadalupe County Hospital was found to be within several miles of our lodging. Arriving at the facility about 0600 on February 29, 2016, we were immediately impressed with the competence, compassion, concern and professionalism of the staff who mobilized to address our need.

The triage nurse/technician and administrative staff made our party comfortable, put them into an exam room and got the information, vital signs, reviewed it, then went out to speak with the nurse practitioner. They returned with a few more questions and a short time later the nurse practitioner came in and performed a very detailed interview supplemented with tactile examination of the area of concern. A hypothesis was provided of the diagnosis with a request for an X-ray to both confirm the hypothesis and to rule out the other possibility - broken bones. This was agreed to. The X-ray was ordered, taken, read, and the results provided very efficiently and promptly.

By 0830 the care had been provided with no batteries of random tests but with excellent diagnostic effort, detailed interview, and one simple X-ray to confirm the hypothesized diagnosis. Our party had a prescription, follow up care instructions, dietary recommendations, a wrap had been placed on the area of pain to mitigate same and we were on the road again.

We are grateful for the quality of care received at the Guadalupe County Hospital. It was a pleasure to see a careful and detailed examination used for diagnosis rather than batteries of tests and other very expensive diagnostic tools which may or may not be necessary.

It was also interesting to note that the Guadalupe County Hospital has a helipad just off the ambulance entrance where patients in need of Trauma Center Rated facilities can be stabilized and air lifted to regional Trauma Centers efficiently. This is a welcome service to users of the national highway transportation system but it is a very beneficial facility for local residents.

Thank you to the management, local government, and especially to the staff who responded to us, for the facility and the medical care you have provided. It is truly appreciated.

I was traveling through Santa Rosa and had to make an emergency pit stop for my 3 year old, who ended up having a bad case of strep and an ear infection. Talk about a road trip from hell. Amazing staff all the way around. We were walked right into a room and treated by professional, kind staff. Not that I ever want to go back, but I wouldn't think twice about it if I had to.

Thanks to K Allen cnp and l Gutierrez rn. For their friendly Ness and attention to my wife's needs. We were traveling back to lllinois when my wife had a severe attack if asthma. The's professional nurses took her right away and gave her treatment.

Great staff n doctors they all knew their job well. I came in with kidney stones they fixed me up good. Can't complain at all. Oh and the girls working here are gorgeous almost wanna go back just to see them lol

I regret that I dont have names, but a very kind doctor and nurse helped us with my grandbaby when they really didnt have the time! This place was a blessing to us, so very thankful form them! God bless them all.

Walked in on Saturday morning, very ill from a bad case of food poisoning. The people employed there are a true asset to their profession. I was fortunate to have stopped there, as I travel across the states. God bless them.

I only come here because I have no other options! The staff is absolutely 💯 rude and like to discriminate. They treat people as if they are beneath them. They do the absolute bare minimum to actually help your symptoms.
The pharmacy take forever when there is nobody here except you, and also very rude! These doctors know absolutely NOTHING about the people walking into the hospital, yet they have no problem treating you with disrespect.

Run! Just run! If you need to come here for anything more than a headache, just drive to Albuquerque or Amarillo.

They can't do anything major, my wife had 4 PULMONARY EMBOLISMS and they wanted to discharge her and have her drive HERSELF to another hospital for better care.

Even the staff (non drs) recommended not to stay here and go somewhere better.
