Wonderful two night stay. Fantastic accommodations and staff. Really nothing like made to order breakfast in bed in the great outdoors. All of the meals we chose were bountiful and delicious. The shower/bathroom accommodations are on par with any reasonably nice hotel with only a short walk. (Closer than if you were foraging your own spot in the woods, and of course you have your private electric golf cart if you prefer not to walk.) Wood for the heating stove is cut, stacked, and replenished without a word. Propane heater and fire ring are also well stocked. You won’t run out of anything but the time you get to spend there. You can literally show up with nothing but your clothes and shower kit. Give it a try.

Book a tent! Black Tree Resort was an incredible and very peaceful way to celebrate our anniversary. We booked a tent in October, so the resort was still very much open but very quiet. Tent #10 was peacefully out of view of any other tent and we felt very secluded.

The tent was clean, well-stocked with plenty of firewood for the stove and blankets to keep warm. We also had a space heater in the room so although the temps outside were chilly we never got cold in the tent.

Check in&out was super easy, the staff was all incredible. Pet friendly! Our dog had an absolute blast running around camp. Golf carts made it simple to get around and trips to the clean and personal bathrooms weren't as bad as we thought it might be. We were so excited to get a lockable bathroom with VERY hot water in the sink & shower.

The meals were surprisingly delicious! We didn't quite know what to expect since this was a camping setup, but the food was incredible. We had the mediterranean grill one night and the salmon dinner the other night and were impressed by the flavor and large portion sizes. S'mores and cookies were a hit. We never went to bed hungry. Again, the staff is amazing and super friendly but not overbearing when delivering or picking up food or supplies. They make it luxurious but also let you enjoy the beautiful solitude.

One thing to note though, if you plan on getting your lunch packed for you to take out on your adventures, there is a more limited food option available. Think deli sandwiches or PB&Js. They still stocked the lunch with fruit, veggies & hummus, and pasta salad, and the sandwiches were great, but just a heads up.

Cell service is poor, which is fine if you know ahead of time. They have excellent wifi at the main cabin if needed.

Plenty of hikes around in Pike National Forest, and we went fishing at the Dream Stream and Eleven Mile Reservoir (didn't have a guide, just started casting from the banks). Go up to the plateau lookout! Beautiful views of the whole resort and valley.

Super fun, we will definitely be back!

Mid September was my 3rd visit to Black Tree Resort and it was a fabulous experience as always. I didn’t think the food could get any better but somehow it was. My favorites are the Salmon, Fajitas & the Mediterranean dinners.

I got a great nights sleep each night after a hot shower. It’s a treat to wake up and have a gourmet breakfast brought to your tent each morning.

We did some beautiful hikes on property and on the south side of The 11 Mile Reservoir. It’s always fun to explore this amazing property by golf cart.

It rained one day and we enjoyed playing board games in our toasty warm tent while listening to the rain patter outside. I’m an expert fire builder thanks to Black Tree Resort.

Glamping here with friends or family is simply a joy. You can completely unplug, relax and enjoy the people your with. I will never camp any other way again!!!

Our stay at the Black Tree Resort was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were spellbound by the breathtaking views that surrounded us. The staff, with their caring, comfort charm, were always at our service and ready to assist with any questions or requests we had.

The glamping tents were nothing short of fabulous, and I have to say, the beds were extraordinary. Even with temperatures plummeting to the low 20's outside, I experienced some of the most restful and comfortable sleep in those cozy beds. The combination of the warm, snug tents and those heavenly beds made for a truly unforgettable night's sleep.

The culinary experience at Black Tree Resort was a highlight in itself. Every meal was an absolute delight and far from disappointing. The fact that they brought out meals directly to our tent added an extra layer of convenience and luxury to our stay.

One of the true gems of this resort is a particular point you can visit, which offers the most magical view. It's a place that fille you with a sense of wonder and serenity, and it truly helps you reset and recharge. The overall atmosphere of the Black Tree Resort has a way of humbling you and connecting you with nature int he most profound way.

We were so taken by this place that we've decided to make it our annual retreat destination. It's a testament to just how special the Black Tree Resort is and how deeply it touched our hearts. We can't wait to return and experience its magic all over again.

My family of 4 stayed at Black Tree for 3 days/2 nights. I’ve always wanted to try glamping and Black Tree did not disappoint. Our tent was clean, spacious and cutely decorated. It got really cold at night but our tent had a large supply of firewood and lots of blankets. Having our own private bathroom was a huge perk. The golf cart was a fun and helpful touch (this was the best part according to my 2 young kids). The staff was friendly, attentive and accommodating. I was the most blown away with the food service - being able to create a customized menu (my kids are picky and they had kid friendly options for every meal) and then having every meal delivered to our tent was awesome. The portions were generous and everything was super tasty. I honestly wasn’t expecting the food to be that great but it rivaled high-end restaurant quality dishes.

I am so pleased with our entire experience. Really fun, relaxing and memorable. I will be telling all my friends/family about Black Tree. Already talking to my spouse about visiting again next year. I highly recommend.

Cannot say enough about our stay at Black Tree Resort. The accommodations (tents, golf cart, bathrooms) and secluded area are wonderful and provide the perfect setting to reconnect and recharge. The food is very high-quality and really makes the experience to have all meals prepared and delivered right to your campsite. The gorgeous backdrop of Pike's Peak and the surrounding Pike National Forest and easy access to all things outdoors (reservoir, fishing, endless hiking, etc.) really make this an unforgettable experience. We plan to be back!

Can't say enough about how great our experience was here. The golf cart rides (each camp site is given one to get around the property) alone were enough to keep our kids entertained all weekend. They had a great time building structures with sticks and climbing the rock formations that dot the property. They had no shortage of things to do (including a large selection/library of bored games at the main office to borrow.)

The remote setting was amazing and stars at night were unbelievable. I took a bottle of red wine up to a lookout on the property and just sat and stared at the sky for an hour after my family had gone to sleep.

Meals were great and it was awesome to go "camping" and not have to worry about those for once. The wood stove in each tent was fun to manage and kept us warm all night.

And the staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall recommend this for an upscale experience that's out of the ordinary and serve as a bit of a re connection to nature for the average ubranite.

We had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend and do again. A beautiful place to unwind, unplug and relax. The perfect blend of camping and amazing service. The staff are very friendly and provide wonderful, top notch service. The accommodations are very clean and comfortable. Amazing beds, private bathroom was a plus as well. So close to Pikes Peak, Eleven Mile Recreation Area, and many other beautiful parks. We cannot say enough positive things about our experience.

Absolutely love this place! It is so beautiful and the rooms are huge ! The service is great , everyone was so kind. It was camping without the stress. They accommodated really well for our big family. They celebrated birthdays with us! We even got to bring our dog and he loved it! The food is amazing and there is a dining area to be able to eat all together !! Ever wish you could shower while camping, I know I have and this place gives you your own bathroom with a shower !!! My dog means a lot to me and the staff provided an amazing experience for us to have with him to show him more of the world. I know we will be back to support this amazing place.

We have a great time. Food was incredible with huge portions. We loved the nightly smores, fire, tents, and cool temperatures. Our kids LOVED the golf cart...they were completely obsessed with it. Our dog also had a great time, despite the flies bothering him. That was the only negative...there seemed to be a fly issue during the day that was unusual. Down at the reservoir there were very few. Regardless, everything else was perfect. Oh, the private shower/bathroom was fantastic. Already planning on coming back.

If you're considering staying at Black Tree Resort, BOOK IT; this place is such a hidden gem! We were traveling as a group of 7, ranging in age from a grandmother who is approaching 70 down to my 4-year old (we had 2 tents). Five members of our group love camping and being outdoors, and 2 of us would rather stay at a 5-star hotel. Black Tree Resort was the best of both worlds.

The tents and facilities are amazing: the beds are super comfortable and the tents are really lovely and attentive to all the details in their design.

The customer service and attention to detail was top-notch and on-par with staying in a 5-star resort. They seemed to have thought of all the details we might need and they were all readily available. We never needed to call the front desk to ask for something they'd overlooked (which is unheard of for our maintenance crew). The staff were so friendly and helpful.

The food and drinks were bananas good, like really knocked our socks off. They were super accommodating to our littlest kids who subsist off a diet of grilled chicken, sugar, and highly processed carbs and at the same time the rest of us were thrilled with the quality of everything that was served. Also the way meals were brought to our tent and presented was so thoughtful and attentive. I ordered a strawberry margarita at one point and it arrived with strawberry foam on top and real strawberry seeds in it (no syrupy and overly sweet concoction here); I wish I'd ordered more cocktails while there.

And then on top of it all, our child celebrated his 8th birthday on the day we arrived at the resort and when we told them this ahead of time, they asked about his interests and we mentioned that he's into rainbows.... we arrived to multiple strands of rainbow balloons across our tent; the birthday child squealed with utter delight when he saw them. They also had squirt soakers for the kids to use which was a big hit.

This whole experience, from start to finish, was absolutely delightful and a total thrill for every single member of our (pretty difficult to please) party. We don't get to Colorado often but we'll seek out a chance to return if it means we get to go back to Black Tree Resort.

We planned our recent visit to Black Tree Resort as a surprise glamping trip to celebrate our daughter's college graduation from CU-Boulder. It was an easy drive from there and the mountain scenery on the way was spectacular! Once we arrived owner Nabil and his team took good care of us with great service, delicious meals and a very cozy and well stocked tent. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and have already recommended the resort to others. If you are looking to plan activities while there, consider whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River with Wilderness Aware outfitters and a visit afterwards to the hot springs at Mount Princeton Resort. We did both on the same day (they are very close to each other) and it was the perfect day for our family!

Our family of four stayed at Black Tree Resort last week. What an experience. Yes, it is on the expensive side but we found that it is worth every penny. The tents are luxurious and had more than enough room for all four of us. The property itself is beautiful and the tents are spaced out enough to create privacy for everyone. Plenty of scenic hiking around, though I think our favorite hike was right out of the back gate of the property. The food is top notch. Every meal we had got rave review from the adults and the kids. My only concern is that it will be tough to ever go back to regular camping after experiencing Black Tree.

My wife and I stayed two nights and it couldn’t have been better. Our friends stayed in a nearby tent and we enjoyed meals together, especially considering how great the food was! We loved the fire pit and golf carting down to the main building. Nearby activities (hiking, horseback riding and hot springs) kept us busy. I’d return in a heartbeat :)

We just returned from an excellent stay at Black tree - private, comfortable, charming. The team is top notch - excellent food and generous portions. Perfect location off the beaten path but not too far from national parks and Colorado Springs. We look forward to returning!

Our family stayed in 2 tents at BTR in celebration of our daughters b-day. Wonderful place, beautiful location with great service and a personalized feel. Even though they were full for the holiday weekend, there were no issues. Food was exceptional and arrived warm for breakfast and dinner. Tents were comfortable for 4 people and the wood stoves kept you warm in the colder evenings. Golf carts make it easy to get back and forth to the personal bathrooms and our vehicles. The solar panels with each tent provided plenty of power to keep the lights on and let us enjoy time together. We can't wait to return and explore more of the surrounding area.

What a wonderful visit! The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and the environment was so peaceful and relaxing. I can’t express enough how delicious the food was. Everything meal was cooked or prepared to perfection. It was always brought to our tent on time and hot (even omelets) and the staff was extremely accommodating. The scenery from up on the plateau is gorgeous – looking over at Pike’s Peak. The tents are very comfortable and furnished with plenty of blankets and pillows. Our site contained a wood burning stove in the tent to warm the tent at night (if needed) and a propane fire pit outside for smores and to sit around. If the weather is clear, you’ll be able to enjoy a zillion stars and the Milky Way in the dark night sky. The private bath is great; you can leave toiletries in there during your entire stay so you don’t have to tote them to-from your tent each time you go get a shower. The shared bathrooms are conveniently located close to your tent, are really clean, and are stocked with soap and paper towels to wash up after using the restroom. This resort is an excellent place to get away and unplug from the working world and even other touristy destinations.

I’ve never been able to say that the best part of camping was the food...until now. Every meal was divine, & the staff is so accommodating. They packed our lunches when we had activities planned elsewhere; it was so delectable that we never even considered going to a restaurant instead.
Talking to Nabil is like hanging with a friend you’ve known your whole life. The pace of the resort is slow and peaceful. We drove all over the property in the golf cart, amazed with views and serenity. We were pleasantly surprised how warm we stayed at night from the stove! We had deer come right up to our tent. The beds and pillows were amazing. It was the most peaceful camping experience ever!!!

WOW is the best way to begin this review!
In July I lead a women's retreat and we stayed at Black Tree Resort and my vocabulary just doesn't hold the words to describe the space the staff, and especially Nabil held for us at Black Tree!!
The tents were gorgeous and a great place to return to after a day of adventures!
The bathrooms were so well maintained and safe. Because of the golf carts assigned to each tent moving back and forth between the tent and the bathrooms was easy and not an inconvenience at all!
Each evening the staff set up and prepared the most delicious meals for us and made sure if we wanted anything special to drink they had it ready and on hand for us!
They also set up campfires for us and had a different treat for us to enjoy around the fire each night... including warm cookies!!!
Nabil knew that the group would be climbing Mt Sherman and leaving very early in the morning. He had our breakfast and lunch packed and ready to go in coolers AND along with hot coffee ready for us with a note wishing us all the best of luck... I mean, does it get any better?!!
Last but far from least, each of the staff felt like family to us. We were so sad to leave our little camping home in the mountains but crazy excited to return to this little private paradise in the future!!
Black Tree Resort... you provided us all with the most detailed of service and the warmest of welcomes... and we can't thank you enough for all of it!!

Sincerely...

We found this gem and booked last minute for a girls trip. The Black Tree Resort exceeded our expectations. Nabil and his staff were so friendly and accommodating. From the time we checked in until we checked out, we felt right at home. The tent was very comfortable. All amenities were very user-friendly. The bathrooms were clean and private. The food was fantastic, even our "to-go" lunch. They were there for us for every need. The grounds are gorgeous and from the sounds of it, are only going to improve! We can't wait to go back!
