One of my favorites, pretty steep to get to shelf lake but it's so worth it! About 6 miles, dog friendly. Pretty busy coming down at around 9am. Be there early. The view was breathtaking. Went in September of this year👌🏽

Loved this hike! Easy to follow trail, the wildflowers were plentiful, and the scenery/views were fantastic! No problem for my rookie dog, a little tough for my 7 and 10 year old, but they made it! We had the place mostly to ourselves on a Tuesday, great family adventure! My Garmin put the out and back distance at 8 miles on the dot, didn't get the listed 3.5 to the lake.

A great little hike to an above-tree line lake. Bring a fly rod...the cutthroats are gorgeous!!! Plan on 4-6 hours round trip.

Not too far, but away from everything. Very peaceful and beautiful escape from the city! Plenty of room to explore.

Fun trail, somewhat rough dirt road. Some clearance needed but can be done with slow driving and navigation.
