The breakfast here is so good we came back 2 days in a row.
We were a large group visiting Clarkston from out of town and someone recommended this place so we have it a shot. Wow we weren’t disappointed!
Seated quickly both times, and received such fast and friendly service. Full bar so of course bloody Mary’s, clam diggers, and Spanish coffees were in order. But the food was just as good as everything else! Chicken fried steak, German pancakes, apple stuff, German omelette with sauerkraut (try it!) and Swiss cheese, plus several more dishes I can’t remember that our group tried over the 2 days. ALL so good!
We only visit this area infrequently but we know where we’re going every single time now for great food.

Loved everything we tried. German Eggs Benedict is the best i've had and will keep me coming back for more. Get a whole German apple pancake to share. You won't regret it.

I've been coming to Asotin for five years. I've been asking my family to come here and eat and gotten shot down every time. I decided to ditch them all today and part of my day was finally stopping here to eat. Food was lovely. Wait staff was all smiles and food was quick. I'm coming back. I shouldn't have waited so long.

When we heard from local friends about the mammoth cinnamon rolls, we were all into joining them for breakfast. Cinnamon was very tasty... in fact, my husband wishes he would have also bought one to go. German apple pancakes were yummy, too. Friendly service.

Better than any chain restaurant around. The staff is like family.

What a little slice of heaven in Asotin. We came specifically for German food and were not disappointed. Weinerschitzel, Paprika chicken, potato pancakes, red cabbage and lemon strudel. Oh, yeah! Pleasant atmosphere, great service, and excellent cuisine. Locals eat here 😎

Great little German/Euro style restaurant. Caring staff good food fun location quite fun for a family meal. We sampled from the breakfast side of the menu, everything was great, good flavor, not greasy. Eggs Benni was very good. The cinnamon roll french toast was all my son talked about, so it must have been awesome.

I saw several items for breakfast lunch and dinner that looked amazing. The food we had was full of so much flavor. Easily going to be a return spot.

I can't say enough about the great food and staff at Matt's. We eat there often and have never been disappointed or even left thinking it could've been better. Even when they're really busy, which is most of the time (call ahead for a table), the staff is friendly and efficient. I definitely recommend Matt's Grill for a great meal, especially the chicken fried steak and gravy.

Matt’s is a reasonably sized restaurant. If you get there early enough you can get a place to sit. They are busy. Food is WONDERFUL and love the staff.

The food was so awesome. Had pancakes with crispy bacon and a couple pieces of toast. I'm definitely gonna go back again.

A great local place specializing German comfort food.

Very good menu. It is a German restaurant. Streudels are great, Schnitzels are the bomb. Nice atmosphere. Service is good but slower, i believe they can-t find help post covid. Easily worth the drive. Breakfast is very good as well. If you like sauerkraut, tey the German Omelet.

Service was fast and friendly inspite of our arriving 15 min to close. The wait or our food over all was not long, and they had a small last min rush while we were there. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Sometimes I have a few questions for new places. The server was very patient and friendly while answering them. All of our food was FRESH and delicious. My taco wrap hit the spot. Both the clam chowder and the creamy chicken asparagus were very very good. (I'm picky about my chowder!) My 4.5 year old son ate 3 of 4 sections of his traditional club sandwich. Absolutely recommend. 🙂
