Mmmmm my new favorite spot yesss they use real fruit in smoothies and make thoer food legit the quiche is AMAZING really kid approved mac n cheese and those cake pops were popping yall GO HERE eat drink be Merry!!! Love thos spot and I eat out ALOT

Excellent little hidden gem for Coffee lovers. We were just driving through going from Kansas to Colorado. Found this lottery little place. Coffee was Amazing and the food was fresh and made to order.

Excellent espresso. Excellent breakfast sandwiches. Pretty good service. The customer accessable areas, at least, were very clean.
Nice little coffee shop, with a relaxed atmosphere.
The only complaint that I could have is that they're not open on the one day a week that I'm off work.
On days that they are open, I'm at work two hours before they open, and still working for three more hours after they close.
I can only go in if I'm away from work for some reason.

I love checking out coffee shops in smaller towns. Good coffee, good breakfast and good staff. Can't ask for much more.

Probably the most adorable place in Kansas. I would consider this an absolute must visit when touring US 50 or 400.

Imagine an uptown cozy coffee shop, but with the refreshing friendliness you only find in a small town. I love this place. There is nothing like taking a break from the busy-ness of life by stopping by Cottonwood, ordering a latte( in house mug yes, please!), wrapping you hands around the warm mug, visiting with friends and acquaintances, and just relishing the calm and happiness that lives in this coffee shop. One special thing about this coffee shop is that they have a nice kids corner. Some coffee shops aren't really that kid friendly, so this is a huge bonus in my mind. Mom's need to have coffee dates too!
The staff is always friendly and the owners, John and Jenny, are such kind hearted people. I have never had any problems with my orders, but if anyone has complaints, I know that they will all try to make it better!
You won't regret trying this lovely place out!

What a breath of fresh air and addition to my hometown visiting experience. I hope the community continues to support such a wonderful place to gather or just grab a coffee to go. My dad (John Henderson) would have been a fixture in this place.

What an incredible place!! Moving to town recently from a place my family and I were at for eleven years was tough. Cottonwood Coffeehouse has not only provided a stellar work environment but space for us to meet new people, which has made the move so much easier! Not only that but the staff are so friendly, and the coffee and pastries are high class. Also, having five kids soon, the cake pops, and the kid's corner will make it way easier to bring our kids and hang out in a coffee shop! Thanks so much, John and Jenny, for giving Lakin such a great place to create community, you guys are awesome!

Great new place. Cozy atmosphere, including a little children's area. Wonderful fresh made pastries. Cold brew was smooth and not too bitter. Cappuccino was very smooth. Looking forward to visiting again.

What???? Good coffee in a small town? Unheard of. Usually its just drip coffee at a local pump.

This place is amazing. Coffee tastes great. The biscuits and gravy was great. The overall experience was great! If youre ever passing through this nice town and want some real coffee, go here. The attitude is how kansas always is- NICE!

I have stopped in here for breakfast as well as other times of day. I am from Canada 🍁 and make point of stopping here every time I come to the area. The staff is always friendly and the food and coffee always exceptional.

Visiting family and was very excited to try this place. Was very pleased with the service and atmosphere! It is a nice hang out spot. The coffee, breakfast sandwich, and service were great. Look forward to visiting again.

Best biscuits and gravy in southwest Kansas!

Absolutely love the coffee here and the staff are so friendly. There was a mix up with my order one time are they were very sweet about it and fixed it right away. Definitely would recommend.

Camped overnight on a road trip and came here on a chilly morning. The coffee and breakfast sandwich were phenomenal!! I’ll make it a mission to come back to Lakin just for this place!

Is Cottonwood a tasty coffeeshop in Southwest Kansas with delicious coffee and hand-crafted pastries? Yep. There's something more important about it than coffee and pastries. Cottonwood is building community in a pleasant atmosphere that encourages relationship. You can't put a price on that. I imagine Lakin will be impacted positively by Cottonwood's proprietors Jenny & John for their continued investment into the community for many years to come.
