I just re-did my entire 10,000 gallon pool with Sider-Crete and saved thousands.
You really need two people as it sets quickly if its dry and hot outside. Simply follow the directions and video tutorials. It is an amazing, solid product. Tech support from Ivan was an easy phone call with an enthusiastic and expert analysis and response!

We just recently purchased a couple of the roll on kits just as a tester to see if we would like it, indeed we did however we needed several more kits to finish. I purchased 6 additional kits which was delivered in a timely manner but there was a little mishap in shipping. A couple of the packages were busted and there was one missing. The customer service was great when we called about our complaint. The replacements were shipped out the same day which we received a couple of days later. We are super pleased with the product and beyond grateful for the customer service.

I was the one who did the plastering and tiling on our ICF splash pool. I’ve never done anything like that before. Total amateur! It was had work but with the help of videos and encouragement of Ivan, I was able to do a very decent job - if I have to say so myself. Die product is easy to work with and is actually very forgiving. Our pool is now two years old and is holding up beautifully. The color we chose was a dark grey and on a sunny day the water takes on a deep teal color. I recommend this company and these products a 100%.

@kyle maximus We have received your review but cannot find any records of your purchase. As well, we do not have any records of you contacting us with any concerns. If our product was used on your project, we are very surprised of the outcome and longevity. Typically, with proper installation (at the right thickness), start-up procedures and water chemistry maintenance, you should expect +/- 10 years. You are welcome to contact us and we would be pleased to address any of your concerns.

@Danila Grey's review is very surprising as we take great pride in providing detailed technical support and customer service, and telling a customer to 'screw-off' would certainly not be the way our advisors would handle a customer. We remain available to anyone for any technical questions before, during and after completion of the project.

We have released a new installation video available on our site/online store and on YouTube (DVD's are no provided/in demand since our video is mainly accessed via mobile devices).

As well, the mixing pails and all other tools & accessories are available individually or as combo packs (they are not automatically included with each order since most projects are unique).

Ivan provides great customer service and technical advice. He will always respond to an email within a day.
We build an ICF pool (insulated concrete forms) and the product worked great! Easy to roll on.
I messed up the installation of the skimmer; Ivan is now helping me with the right products to fix it. Thank you!

We all certainly value constructive cristicism...but one star with a vague reason for a negative review does not reflect Sider-Crete's exemplary customer service and high quality products manufactured. Each order is supplied with very detailed instructions an a DVD showing all the proper steps of installation. All users are also encouraged to contact the on staff technical representatives for any assistance related to installation and product recommendations.

Had to remove a bunch of old pool plaster that had separated due to a hairline crack. I got an insane quote to have a fixed so I took to Amazon to find a solution. This product was exactly what I was looking for and couldn't have been easier to use. I put down 110 lbs of this stuff in an afternoon and couldn't be happier. I was going to use epoxy paint to paint the pool, but Sider-Crete also offers roll on pool plaster that will adhere to your current plaster! Company responds quickly to questions and offers detailed instructions with their products!

So far so good real work to put it down but it’s far cheaper alternative than what was proposed by contractors

We are really happy with the way everything looks when finished. But there is a lot to consider before using this product. below are some tips on things we figured out during the application.

I'd like to note that I spoke to the owner of the company and he took my suggestions very well and said they would be changing some of their instructional material to include these tips.

First, they say in the video that you can call any time to get help with your project. But the help line isn't open on weekends. When I spoke to the owner, he said that they respond quickly to Face Book messages on weekends, so if you do get stuck outside of business hours, definitely send them a message that way.

Their how-to video shows no technique for doing the pool floor. We got one of those sponge mops and went over it like you would with the hand sponge. It worked really well!

Don't apply the product too thick. If the team member using the squeegee has too much to trowel off, it will drip on the floor causing bumps that will harden. If there are accidental drips, roll them flat with the roller immediately.

If you are the squeegee operator, don't shake the excess off onto the floor! This is a huge waste of product and it causes bumps that you will have to scrape off before doing the second coat.

The "spritz and sponge" step they show in the video is very important! But don't try to do it immediately after using the squeegee. This will cause lines in the finish. You need to let it set up just a little first.

Keep your sponge clean. If it gets full of product, it won't smooth out the surface. So rinse it often, and start with a new one on coat #2.

The person rolling should apply no more than an arm's length at a time. If the person doing the sponging step can't reach it, they can't create a smooth surface.

If you choose a white finish, you may see streaks of royal blue, and sometimes yellow, in the product as you apply it. The owner told me that there is a little blue pigment in the white, because it makes it brighter. But he assured me that the chlorine in the water would fade the spots away.

After figuring these things out on the first coat, the second coat went well. We used Sider Crete thin set and grout products to put a new tile border around the top edge of the pool, and everything looks really great!

Good luck!

It lasted for 2 years, I believe Canadian winters damaged it.

Product went on well. When we filled the pool a line showed up where the water had flowed in. We followed directions to a t. But maybe it was a little hot outside? In the '80s.. inside the pool a bit hotter. We had blistering that popped up after a few months and some of the blisters have burst exposing the underlying older surface.
You get what you pay for. And way better than pool paint.

The instructions were OK did not include DVD or mixing buckets as promised by sales rep also we were having an issue with the bottom was a bit spotty and we were basically told to screw off by the help team and that it was our fault all we were trying to do was to fix the problem not blame them I was not quite happy about that also I would go with a solid color not a speckled speckled didn’t come out amazing also the color shown on the sample sheet was not quite the same as the color we got we got the speckled cobalt

Ugh!!! This was a horrible experience for us. After getting an extremely ridiculously high quote to resurface our pool, my husband came across this company. After I insisted this was not a good idea, my husband talked me into buying the roll on plaster. He is a jack of all trades so I had faith that he could handle this project. We watched the video, purchased all supplies from the company and $3000 later we began the project. We followed all directions. After the first coat we noticed inconsistency with the he color. We also noticed every squeegee mark and every sponge mark. No big deal we were sure after the second coat it wouldn’t be very noticeable. In between the first and second coat it rained. Once the rain stopped we drained the pool of rain water at which time we noticed a lot of bubbling. I contacted the company, they were nice but not very helpful. They mentioned that maybe the temperature was too cold. They advised we bust up all the bubbles and do a heavy coat of plaster over the troubled spots. As we started busting up the bubbles we noticed that there was so many!! They covered most of the bottom and on the steps. Nothing on the sides but the entire spa had to be chipped out. We then applied a thick second coat as suggested by the guy we spoke to. It looks absolutely awful. You can see every area we chipped out. It is not smooth at all and feels very rough. We have emailed and called with no response back. Not sure what we can do at this point to salvage the pool. Their website says you can sand to smooth it out but that is a lot of sanding!! Hopefully we can make it look half way decent with the two bags of plaster we have left.
