Cape Look Out Bed & Breakfast

The place is very nice and Mary Ann is very kind. We absolutely loved her breakfasts. It is very peaceful and comfortable and not far from The Harker Island National Park Visitor Center. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back another time. Thanks Mary Ann!

Wonderful little B&B! If you're looking to unplug and relax, you must stay here! Beautiful views, amazing breakfasts, comfortable beds, clean and quiet. MaryAnn is a wonderful host and talented cook. We enjoyed chatting over breakfast each morning. Close to the ferry for Cape Lookout and Shackleford Banks. About 30 minutes to Beaufort.

A charming host and an absolutely delightful b&b. A 15 year new stilt home in perfect condition, with a wonderful view. The room was on the 3rd floor, so pack accordingly, you have stairs to climb.

The bed was so comfortable. Great wifi too. Woke too the smell of coffee brewing downstairs. Breakfast was excellent. Everything was immaculate.

My husband and I stayed three nights recently with Mary Ann at Cape Look Out Bed and Breakfast. The location was great with easy, close access to the surrounding areas, and Harkers Island was a fun place to visit in itself. The B&B was clean, comfortable, relaxing-a very homelike, pleasant atmosphere. The breakfasts were delicious and lovingly prepared. Mary Ann is a precious hostess, concerned with making her guests’ stay the best possible. She is very knowledgeable about the local area, including history and culture of Harkers Island. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Outer Banks for the first time, and Cape Look Out B&B was the perfect place to stay. We would stay there again and would recommend it to others; in fact, we already have!

I travel a lot, and usually I am looking for a place to stay that doesn't break the bank but is clean. This is one of the few times that the place I slept in made a huge difference in my trip. Mary Ann's B&B was clean, comfortable and perfectly located to explore the area. She was an absolute delight to talk to and her breakfasts were to die for. This is the only place I could stay in the future.

Mary is fantastic. Her home is comfortable. Our room was clean. And her breakfast wonderful. I highly recommend her Bed & Breakfast for your stay. I will definitely go back.

I would recommend this bed & breakfast to anyone wanting a quite place that is great for relaxation. My husband and I decided to stay on Harkers Island and found the Cape Lookout B&B. We loved it. The room we stayed in was private, had a king size bed, a private bath, and covered deck overlooking the sound where we spent several hours just relaxing. From the deck, we were able to see wild horses on Brown's Island. The hostess was very welcoming and her breakfast each morning was wonderful. She is friendly and makes you feel right at home. The entire experience was perfect. The accommodations are private, comfortable and very, very clean. From Harkers Island, we were able to visit Shackleford and Cape Lookout Islands, plus a short drive back to Beaufort and Morehead CIty. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants privacy, comfort and a chance to relax.

Excellent! super clean, big room, nice view, very friendly and accommodating host. Breakfast was terrific and made for my schedule. I was able to put a couple of items in the refrigerator and use the microwave, too. Beautiful area!

Fantastic B&B that not many people know about! MA (MaryAnn), the owner, is an AMAZING chef and a very personable/kind woman! She really makes you feel at home and like you are family! The rooms and amenities are just as the look and are described here and on her website! Also, her breakfasts are to die for! Homemade Apple Puff Pancakes, oven baked french toasts, banana bread, and so many more creations are AWESOME! We cannot wait to stay here again!

Harkers Island is away from hustle & bustle. Our stay was great: MaryAnn was available if needed but not intrusive, bed was comfy, breakfast was tasty AND it was a bonus to see horses on Brown Island from our window in the morning. Took ferry from Harkers to Cape Lookout and then drove 25 min into Beaufort for dinner. There are two restaurants on Harkers & if we stayed longer would have eaten there. This was a relaxing location!

Wonderful B & B experience! The hostess was delightful and served creative and delicious breakfasts. The setting is quiet and serine with a lovely view. A great way to experience a hidden gem on the NC coast...an island.Highly recommend a stay for you and a family.

Miss Mary Ann was a fabulous hostess. She was very welcoming and friendly. She made the best breakfast and showed us the horses across the way. Beautiful view on the back porch

Such a cozy place to spend a weekend. Very clean. The host is very pleasent and breakfast is great. Great view from the balcony. Bring your boat or Jet ski for a day trip to the light house. Highly recommended.
