Rose's Vacation Rentals

This is a hidden gem, a paradise of relaxation!! We spent 4 nights camping at this piece of paradise and enjoyed every moment. You will not find nicer, down to earth people, than you will find here. Mrs. Rose goes above and beyond to make sure you have what you need and is the nicest person you will ever meet. The evening breezes on the gazebo on the water, the hospitality, and the beauty of this slice of heaven, will make you never want to leave. We can't wait to return! If you're looking for peace, quiet, and relaxation, this is your place. There's so much history here, right on the grounds, as Mr. Rose was a boat builder for many years right here. You can learn so much from Mrs. Rose about their history, as well as the history of the island. Can't say enough nice about Mrs. Rose and her beautiful property and the wonderful hospitality she showed us. We could not be more pleased!

First time here. I find it to be quiet and a nice little place to relax. Very affordable and the owner is great! It's not new or a 5 star resort but it was clean quiet and affordable, I think it was a great deal for what you get. Will be staying here from now on when in the area.

Rose's wasn't even on our list to stay at. We were referred by another camping site. Rose's was an amazing resort. 10$ per tent. Kayaking was included. Great dock to just hang out at. Fire pit to gather around at in the evening. It was by far one of the best nights of camping. Rose was so sweet and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back.

I am a regular visitor there with my boat. Harkers Island is one of few remaining outposts on coastal NC where the community still retains a lot of its historic culture. The Rose's facility has some age on it, it's not perfect, but it's real homey and the landlord is just as nice as she can be! You are right smack in the middle of what was once a boat building yard that produced 64 "Island Boats" over Leslie Rose's career. It's a living museum to the life of so many generations of people there. I'd say take advantage of it while it lasts....coastal places like this are under tremendous pressure from greedy developers to change forever.....then it will be lost.

A scenic place to spend time with family. Lovely area and a convenient beach just off the bridge onto the island for swimming trips without going too far.

Nice place to stay. Very quiet. Rose is one the nicest people you'll ever meet.

Rooms were clean and well maintained. Mrs. Rose was very friendly and knowlegeable of the area.
