1895 Grille

Easily one of best restaurants in the area. Service is classic and impeccable. Food is supremely gourmet, wonderfully high quality, beautiful, and plays with the taste buds in ways you may have never experienced or expected. Big kudos to chef Adam on the swordfish for preparing possibly one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had, from someone who spent decades in expensive areas along the Florida coast.

First time here and I must say this place was outstanding, blew our expectations out of the water.

Mitch the Sous Chef was the best, came out to check on any allergies and answer any questions we had.

The food was perfect, one of the best dinners my party has experienced in a while… definitely will be back and thanks again Mitch for making this evening special!

This was our best dining experience in Pinehurst to date! We've lived in the area for three years, and this was our first visit. I must say, we were blown away! The staff, including the host, manager, server, and busboy, were incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is historic and beautiful, creating a warm and cozy ambiance. The breadbasket was the best I've ever seen, the appetizers were incredible (especially the gnocchi), and the dinner was amazing. I ordered the short rib, and it was delicious. Both couples tried the souffle, and it didn't disappoint. We'll be back again, and whenever friends visit and seek a great dining experience, this is our go-to place!

Went last night for my husbands birthday and it was great! Little John and our female server (I forgot her name) they both were excellent!! Very personable and hospitable! Foie gras appetizer was one of the best i have had. Great wine selections and the dessert was so good too! The food was great but the service made it an experience. Thank you look forward to coming again!

The dinner here is absolutely amazing. You are catered to with great care, and the staff is passionate about making sure you are happy and enjoying your meal. I had the lamb, and it was exquisite. Additionally, make sure to try the bread they bring you, it is all delicious.

We celebrated our 35th anniversary at 1895 tonight. Everything was perfect. The service was excellent. We enjoyed the different varieties of bread, and our entrees of braised beef ribs with accompanying Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, and cornbread pesto croutons. The tiramisu was delicious as well. It was a delightful experience we won’t forget.

Great dinner here tonight. Octavia and Littlejohn provided amazing service! The short ribs and the chocolate soufflé are beyond delicious!

We stayed at the Holly Inn during our girls spa weekend. We bought a spa package that included breakfast. The buffet had a big variety of options which we appreciated. The service was fantastic. The restaurant was beautifully decorated.

Really enjoyed our group dinner here. They were able to accommodate our group of 7 which was a pleasant surprise. The service from the host, to waiter and expediters was perfect. The food was very good and quite rich. Wine selection was also nice and seemed reasonably priced.

Great food and service recently. This is the “elite”restaurant among the Resort options. I have one recommendation for Management. Lighting. The sconces on each pillar are much too bright. If you sit at any corner or perimeter table near a sconce, the glare is very distracting. A different light bulb or sconce shade that brings a softer light to this cozy room is needed.

We love this restaurant. Great food and excellent service. You can just feel that everyone truly welcome you and your family. We had a great time having dinner there twice in a row.

A One of A Kind Experience! My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary in Pinehurst at 1895 Grille! The environment is cozy and charming. For dinner we had the seared scallops with pork belly and the surf and turf, both dishes are highly recommended. The she crab soup was also excellent! The variety of bread options we were served may have been the best part of our experience. Our server, Todricka did an excellent job and was very attentive to our needs. History everywhere you look, soak it up!

Service was impeccable; shecrab soup, crabcake appetizer and chocolate souffle for dessert were amazing. Charming, cozy atmosphere. Only suggestion would be that the server staff not align the walls in the dining room awaiting something to do. It was a little disconcerting.

This is the hidden gem of Pinehurst Resort. The food is 5 star and the staff and ambiance is as well. I visit Pinehurst a couple times per year and always make sure I make a reservation well in advance to dine here. If the lobster and filet with risotto is on the menu, you won't be disappointed. Remember, you need reservations and it's certainly worth eating here twice as opposed to eating at The Carolina Dining Room.

A terrific meal at a great restaurant! Food was superb and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I will absolutely go here again.

If you are looking for a fabulous meal, with excellent service this is definitely the place.

Very elegant. The craftsmanship is amazing. A must stop if you're in Pinehurst.
