UT Health RGV Primary Care at Laguna Vista

I am sorry that other reviewers felt they had a bad experience...mine was EXCEPTIONAL! Staff was compassionate, professional, efficient, knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with.

Being new to the area...I was horrified to wake up one morning to a sever allergic reaction...and no local doctor established.

I began calling every number of clinics I could find and only got the answering services!
This clinic answered promptly and were very sympathetic to my needs.

* I have had this type of allergic reaction before and if not treated within a few hours is a mandatory visit to the emergency room. (the nearest one is Brownsville and I was hoping to get treated closer to home)

Lettie, the receptionist made room for me that very morning within two hours of when i called...I was being TREATED!
The nurse knew exactly what she was doing and even though my condition required an injection...I hardly felt it!

The Nurse practitioner, Goldie was wonderful...she wasted no time in assessing my condition and LISTENING to me as I described my other experiences with this reaction and the meds that took care of it.

She helped me so much I hate that I moved away I tell everyone how much this help me to become pain free

Never in my life have I been treated by a medical professional the way I was treated at this facility. It was as if she just thoroughly hates her job. After three visits I finally called the VA to reassign me a new primary care doctor. Oh, and her medical assistant that draws blood is just as bad. His people skills are terrible. The only bright spot at this office is the receptionist who smiles and engages you and made me feel like I was important. She is the reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1.
