Very nice bookstore with great selection of books. Can find something for everyone here with a wide selection of mugs and other gift items, lots of puzzles and maps, informational books, a whole second floor balcony full of fiction, and a big kids section too. Bookstore hosts a virtual reading club as well. Also window displays very cute and pull you in. Could spend all day here.

Very comprehensive bookstore stocking both new and second hand books and items. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent book selection. Young adults is upstairs, they carry lots of good YA and middle grade series.

Very cute book store and very friendly owner, happy go lucky kind of person. We were there on 26th dec and they were open. Good variety of books. Quite reasonable on the price too. Would certainly visit again.

It is easy to spend an hour or more browsing, for more than just books, this store has a unique mix of cards, puzzles, gifts, tshirts, and other unique items. This time I only bought an assortment of postcards- images I hadn't seen before among other quality ones - generally about 20% less costly.

It is a Holiday tradition to browse the windows at Port Book and News. We have taken the same photo for 6 years. Then we browse the store for gifts. In a normal year, they offer cider and cookies at the front door. I'm glad we got to keep this tradition in 2020.

Love this book store! When I first moved here I was worried I'd miss aimlessly wandering around Barnes and Noble, but this is so much better and personable. I get to chit chat with the friendly workers about the latest book club selections. I can order anything I need and support local. Sure it's not Amazon prices, but it says a lot to shop from a Mom and Pop bookstore. Reminds me of You've Got Mail. You can't find that kind of customer service from Amazon or big box stores.

This store has been added to my list of favorite places. I spent a long time just browsing through the isles. I love that they have a section of books that they recommend. I bought one of Alan's recommendations ("Address Unknown" by Katherine Kressmann Taylor) and I couldn't put it down. Though I was just passing through, I look forward to coming back again some day.

Lovely little bookshop with excellent curated choices especially when it comes to local hiking and children’s materials. Awesome magazine selection as well!

Isles were layed out and marked well. Fun book store to explore. Staff were very knowledgeable about about my topics of interest and where to find the subject books.

Excellent local bookstore with both common and unusual selections. Over the years, Alan in particular has recommended some of the best books I've ever read. I love this place, and visit every time I'm in town.

Port Book and News is my happy place. They have a great selection of new and used books for all ages and all genres. They also manage to have many little gift and fun options. Port Book and News is a great place to get lost in.

This is one of my absolute favorite places to shop in downtown. Always have the latest new releases fron and center as soon as you walk in, with a great selection of classics and older paperbacks! They even have used books! Always easy to find something great to read or a cute card and great gift item for anyone on your list! Amazing owners!!!

One of my all time favorite bookstores! Not only do they have a great selection of well chosen books and knowledge of their books but neat toys (for kids and grownups). Just such a wonderful, magical, and fun bookstore!

Second time visit. Great bookstore with a combination of new and used books. Games, knick nacks, signs, stationary, etc.

Feel good, nice local bookstore. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and owner. Dogs always welcome.
Grab some books, then get some coffee down the street or lunch at Next Door Pub.
