Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area

Two months ago my husband went into Cardiac Arrest and was rushed to the ER and then admitted to the ICU after the stents were put in. Cardiologist Doctor Pappas & Doctor Szalai did great together with the medical staff that were in the Cath room.
All of my husband’s attending nurses and the medical team in the ICU were very professional, kind and knowledgeable. One of the nurses in ICU was RN Jeremey Montgomery who was almost always at my husband’s side tending to his needs whenever he’s assigned to care for my husband. Not to take anything away from the other nurses, but RN Jeremy Montgomery is THE most professional health care individuals I have ever met. His bedside manner and level of compassion he has for his patients are qualities you do not often see these days. At times I felt overwhelmed with the situation and turned to RN Montgomery who assured me that everything would be alright and took time to explain my husband’s condition and the treatment he was receiving.
In short, RN Montgomery was a Godsend!
I would like to express my gratitude to my husband’s “Angel Nurse” for the role he played in my husband’s recovery.

I had a c section here. The staff before and after was just so amazing. I felt well taken care of and felt like my baby was extremely safe there. My husband and I are both very grateful for the experience we had there.

A year ago I came in dehydrated, hurting and scared as I was going into labor for the first time. My heart forever goes deep for Anila Rondell Ricks-Cord. The name that I am so thankful is on my baby boys birth certificate, because every time I read her name, it reminds me how much she truly touched my heart that day. I wish every person could have her there for their labor because she truly made my experience 10x better than what it could’ve been (some things did bother me with other nurses and doctors ) and having an emergency c section was terrifying. her presence was bliss, she came in the room and mowed down my anxieties every time. She listened and understood me when it seemed like nobody else was, she made sure I was comfortable and told me it’s going to be okay and that she’s got me, And she did! A million Thank yous to Ricks-Cord for helping bring my baby safely into this world and for making my first birth experience a better one! You are so appreciated! I now have a happy, healthy, baby boy and couldn’t be more blessed with how things went the day I was wheel-chaired into this medical center.

I was taken care of by an amazing group of Dr.’s and wonderful nurses during my high risk pregnancy. I was listened to, well cared for, and we have a healthy baby boy thanks to Dr. Kirkham and his NP Crystal Langraf and team, and Dr. Jones and her team with MFM along with several other Dr.’s and nurses who cared for us during a 24hr stay and during my C-section and birth of our boy!

Had surgery in the day surgery dept and the staff was amazing! From check in, preop, intraop and post op. They made me so comfortable in a stressful situation. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful care!

Everyone in the labor & delivery dept was absolutely terrific to my daughter when she was having her 1st baby. Came in on a Thurs afternoon 4pm to induce labor. It was a very, very long day into Fri evening. Things were looking like a C-section might have to happen. The nurses were the sweetest, professional, sympathetic and knowledgeable including Dr Nunes who was the Dr on call. She ended up able to deliver without C-section and gave birth Sat at 4:27 am! Post op and into the regular room. We couldn't ask for any better nurses and Dr through multiple shift changes over days. I highly recommend this hospital for many different reasons. All floors have experienced, professional people!

The nurses at this facility were the nicest most caring expert people I have ever been around. These nurses genuinely cared for you even though they had just met you 10 seconds ago for the first time. At every stage of my pre-register all the way through going home every single nurse that touched me did so with caring, loving hands with a great deal of expertise. My doctor did a very good expert surgery. I just cannot rave enough about the nursing personnel at this facility and the degree of care and expert knowledge that they all had that I came into contact with.

I must say... it's never any fun having to be in a hospital. I suspect most people would rather chew on broken glass. However, I must say that being brought in via ambulance, was admitted due to emergency surgery, (gallbladder removal), and given a room, it was actually a nice experience due to the ER staff who took care of me (thank you Joseph), and the entire nursing staff upstairs, along with the surgeon, and everybody whose names I couldn't remember, but I wish I could. The food is incredible along with the food staff preparing it!!!! 5 stars!!! Thanks y'all!!

In the ICU I had to stay for 2 days they are suuuupppeerr sweet and they met my every need with the upmost respect, and thank you all for that.

All of my nurses and nurses aides were very caring, very patient with me, very helpful, and very friendly. The housekeepers did a good job of keeping my room clean. The nurse's manager came in every day to ask me about the care I was receiving from my nurses. My doctors came in everyday to check on me and talk to me. I highly recommend Corpus Christi Medical Hospital Bay Area.

From the moment I walked in to the day I was discharge, all the nurses and my doctor were amazing. The nurses answered all my questions and treated me very well. My doctor, Dr. Noriega made me feel very comfortable in all my visits to the day I had my baby. She’s amazing!

My Daughter in Law had surgery here, and all I have to say is that she got a good nurse who took good care of all her needs while she was staying there. of course my Son was helping too he is a good husband. The stars are for the Nurse 💓Keep up the good work 👍😁 and thank you for what you do. Thanks to the Doctor too🙏

Went to the ER on wed morning at 3:30 am with back and knee pain. Was checked in quickly, met my Dr. and then placed in a room. Nurse came she was very friendly and I was scheduled for X-rays and a lower back ct scan. After all of this my Dr came in told me the results and recommended two drugs. I was checked on by nurses all the time. This was my first encounter with this hospital and it was great. I had outstanding care.

Everything was excellent my doctor Dr. Omani is awesome! From my first visit with her she explained everything well. Her nurse is very attentive and would call me back pretty quickly with answers or to inform me of anything. The admissions ladies are great as well I was able to register online and when I went for my post- op appointment it didn't take long for me to finish the registration. The day of the surgery everything went as planned, the nurses were very helpful and kind!

Delivered last week via cesarean … Loved the staff.. not to mention my day/night nurses. They were my absolute favorite.. loved them. They took VERY good care of us & were very helpful with me during my healing process in there.. checked on me & gave my meds as needed & made sure I had what I needed. 10/10. ♥🙌🏻🙏🏻

My name is Kim Gutierrez and I was in the ER FOR 33 hours and I had the best care I could have asked for. My nurses were Jenna, Ally& Val. These girls need a raise I cannot begin to tell you the comfort and safety they made me feel. They will be in my daily prayers. Then I went to the 4th floor and my nurse was LALA, she was AMAZING as well, she took such good care of me, if I needed her she was by my side within minutes. When you are as sick as I was and still am to know some one cares and has your back is priceless!! Bay Area is very lucky these woman are on staff!!!
I only have 2 negative things that I believe need attention and that is Tom from respiratory, I am not sure he is in the right profession. He has no bedside manner, he was short, rude and in and out in seconds. After the second night I requested that he not enter my room again. He took away what little peace I was hanging onto. The next night respiratory came in for a breathing treatment and did not hook my 02 back up after the treatment .I woke up so sick and scared I had no idea what was happening.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful. My nurses took great care of me and were very clear on what I needed to do in order to be discharged. The hospital was super clean. For having only a liquid diet the items were not all that bad. Only had one issue and that was when the med student ripped out my IV from my hand. It has been 8 days since the med student ripped my iv out and my hand still hurts today. Other than that everything was great and because the greatness out weighted just one little issue I gave a five star rating.

I had surgery here recently and I must say the nurses and staff are all amazing! Super helpful and attentive. Just be mindful they are treating other patients as well. They do the best they can but things get done. They made the whole experience pleasurable. Simply the best treatment you can receive! Thank you Corpus Christi Medical Center!

Very busy place on the weekday I was in the ER.....despite it all, the staff kept a friendly, positive attitude! I'm a retired RN from KS here on vacation. So I appreciated your ER staff..and notice almost everything, especially since I and many other patients were parked in the hall.....I realize there is a staffing shortage in many states these days. Please give your ER staff my compliments! God bless you all.

I’m thankful for the doctors and nurses, they Actively Listen and ask appropriate questions after listening. The staff quickly help with no wait time after checking in. I was seen by a doctor in less than 5 minutes. I was given appropriate care and the medications were transcribed quickly for pickup at my local Pharmacy.
