An hour of driving from where I normally go to get here. I wanted a new scenery. Less number of people out here. It is fine for me. This part of the trail got some serious hills out here. Seriously!

I forgot to mention... This Trailhead has no facilities other than an old parking lot that looks like it can hold no more than ten cars. I'm okay with that... this did not bother me.

Park & ride your bike towards Cedartown for the hilliest part of The Comet. A mere 14 miles to Cedartown & around 10 more gets you to the start of The Chief Ladiga Trail.#thesilvercomettrail#chiefladigatrail

Heading west from Grady Rd you will immediately be met with subpar smell from the adjacent landfill. You will have a manageable incline. The incline will be intermittent and will shortly turn into a steady descent. Roughly 5 miles to the Cedartown Trailhead. Good views. Only a few road crossings.
