Great spot to go for a walk up or down the river. Large boat launch and parking area. Overnight camping with lush green grass for tents. Grant PUD keeps these parks spotless!

Small family camp ground. River view. No hookups. Security present. Drove through multiple times. Gates close at night to keep the general public out. Campers can come and go. Beautiful scenery. Camp host was very helpful. $20.00 a night

We loved camping here! Warm weather, beautiful sunsets, spacious boat launch and clean grounds. No bugs, either! We took a bike ride down to the damn and also went to the Matawa Flea Market on Saturday.
Things to be aware of:
It gets VERY windy at night. Make sure to stake down your tents and put light items away in your car. But it is so warm that the wind isn’t bad or cold.
They have a sprinkler system that does goes off in the middle of the day (Monday-Friday) and will soak all of your belongs on the grass patches. Make sure to clear those areas during the allotted time.

Absolutely gorgeous and it was great walking around with the puppies.

Wonderful campsite. Day use picnic shelters are awesome. Clean park. Rocky shore advise to wear water shoes. Bathroom by the entrance was clean, BUT was getting full so we ended up walking to the boat launch bathroom.
WARNING: it can get VERY windy. If you stake down your tent correctly you should be good.
We really enjoyed staying here and looking forward to coming back.

We went there to camping two weeks ago. The view there is breathtaking. The camping site is really close to the river, and the recreation area. The camping has only pit toilet (no shower) and just one faucet. We had planned to stay 3 nights, but in the evening on our last night it started to wind so bad that we decided pack and go home. So be aware of the weather if you're planning to use a tent.

It was my first time being there. We brought paddle boards and played on the water. The beach/swimming area was empty when we got there about 10. There were a few boats and wave runners in the area, but we went north of the launch and they stayed to the south and west. Great quiet spot and close to Yakima

Great camp area with large, very easy boat launch. Well taken care of grass sites even though we never saw an attendant. The area gets crazy windy, so we had our tent staked and tied down as tightly as possible.

Great place to set up a tent. Swimming is easy to get to, the bathroom was clean, and the visibility of stars on a clear night is amazing. Bring earplugs if you’re in a tent, the wind can get crazy at night.

Beautiful views of columbia river at sunset. Good value here at the campground when sunsets. Seems that it gets very windy here like most of the area around Vantage.

07/01/2020. 19:00. Great place for Recreation. Peaceful, Quiet, Camping Area, Swimming and Boating in the Columbia River, Walking and Running Trail, Picnic Area, Plenty of Parking Spaces.

The toilets had toilet paper.....and it was soft not the tree bark you would expect.....there is alot of shade for hot days

Really clean spot in the river kid friendly. Adult friendly picnic tables. Covered areas, and trees. Beautiful spot so cheap

This is great place for boating. Very nice boat launch. The walking trail is an easy walk.

Brand new, plenty of space, boat launch and docks are in great shape, bathrooms were immaculate.

Perfect place for the kids to swim! Wish we had something similar this close to home.
