Stone Hotel

Stayed in the rustic cabins (availability) and they are exactly that . . . rustic as expected! Still, beds were warm, comfortable and inviting. Heating for cabin was good. Showers consistently and reliably appropriate. Toiletries were in place as expected. Very convenient location. There was internet via mobile hotspot which worked reliably (request onenwhen in rustic cabins). Enjoyable stay over all.

The Stone Hotel on the Interlochen campus is a perfect place to stay if you are a parent of a student lucky enough to be attending the Interlochen Center for the Arts. The Stone puts you squarely in the center of everything happening on campus and lets you be as much a part of your students' life there as is possible.

The staff is helpful and friendly as well as knowledgeable about the area around campus if you decide to venture off campus when your student is busy with school activities. The facilities are basic and functional, as you would expect from an old dorm building, but clean and all that one should require, you are there to see your student after all.

One perk of staying at the Stone is that you can eat all your meals, while staying at the Stone, in the Stone Cafeteria in the main level of the building. The Stone Cafeteria has all the good food you could ask for, if you can't find it there you may be a picky eater.

All in all I can highly recommend the Stone Hotel on the Interlochen campus, but try not to book in there on the days I need to please because it does fill up on occasion...

The rooms are small but cozy, and the staff are all incredibly friendly. You're right on one of Northern Michigan's beautiful inland lakes, and in addition to the concerts Interlochen Center for the Arts hosts, you're also right across the street from a state park, and 20-30 minutes from Traverse City.

Room was definitely way smaller then expected but very clean, staff were lovely the surrounding area is lovely (literally a little beach 20 steps away) :) Very reasonable price and would definitely stay again!

Nice clean rooms! Staff was friendly. My room was about 100 feet from beautiful Green Lake.

Beautiful location. Excellent service, be aware that it was likely a dormitory so it's a bit institutional but the room was great.
