This was our first time visiting and we enjoyed our visit the staff was friendly and we felt welcomed. Our room was clean and the three golf courses were in good shape considering the time of year. Thanks for a great vacation and we will see you again.

Lakewood Shores is an excellent value. If you are expecting a top tier resort experience you are going to be disappointed. There is a reason you can get a package for a great price here and you just have to understand that going in. The courses are well kept, the greens are fast and true. The lodging is average and the carts/clubhouse/range are all in need of update. For the prices however, it can’t be beat. It’s great golf. There are three great courses here and my group will definitely be back.

Had a great time. For the price, not sure if this can be beat in Michigan. Rooms were slightly dated but very clean. Courses were very fun. Staff was very nice. 10/10 already looking to book my next trip.

Got a groupgolfer deal so totally worth it. Clean rooms. Courses were fun. The markings for the teeboxes could be better but whatever

This is a great place for a golf getaway. The rooms were incredibly clean and the staff was very friendly.

The courses were fantastic to play and each one gave you a distinctly different challenge. They were all difficult, but for different reasons. The golf is still fun for beginners as you get to experience variety and unique challenges.

The Wee Links is quite a bit of fun behind the rooms for friendly and fun competition to wind down the day.

Our family outing has been going to Lakewood Shores for 17 years and continue to always have a great time. The rooms have been upgraded and post pandemic the courses are in better shape. Craig and Tamara Peters are wonderful to work with, thanks again for another great weekend!

With the exception of the past 2 covid years my group of 8 from the Toronto area has been going to Lakewood Shores for a 4 day getaway for the past 14 years or so. We finally got back in July,'22. If you love golf there's not a better place on the planet. They have 3 very different and totally fabulous courses to play and considering the lack of rainfall, the conditions were excellent with only small areas of fatigue. Every green was fast and true, and challenging!
Like all businesses, Lakewood is having just as much trouble staffing as everyone else but they do everything they can to make sure the courses are as good as they can be and that their guests are looked after.
I read some of the reviews before we went this year but found them all to be unfairly critical once I got there in person. These past couple of years have been very cruel to LS: business down over 50% due to no Canadian traffic and covid, escalating costs, and the labor shortage. As a result, some maintenance has been postponed, but I am certain that once business picks up again, every effort will be made to rectify the few deficiencies they have.
If you play golf in Ontario, you know that it is very difficult to get tee times and the prices to play have gone through the roof over the past few years. Do yourself a favour, reach out to Lakewood Shores, get a price that will blow you away, and book a trip. Once you do, you'll be going back for life.

Some friends and I booked a trip pre covid, being from Canada and Boarder being closed. We finally made it. I can't say enough about how accommodating Lakewood Shores staff was with us. We started with a larger group and as time went on some had to back out as it was almost 3 years since we first booked. We had a lot of fun and will defiantly be returning with more people next year. Great place for a golf outing with 3 courses, all are a bit different and fun to play.

My fiancé and I only stayed here one night and got to play two rounds of golf. The accommodations were just fine. The building itself is older, but very clean and is right on the golf course. We loved waking up and sitting out on the balcony. We played at Blackshire and The Gailes and both courses were beautiful. The Gailes was harder than the blackshire. Overall a great experience for a quick getaway.

I went there this past weekend for the stay and play package and was blown away by the courses and value.

We played Blackshire and Gailes. Great conditions and amazing designs. Huge greens, beautiful holes. Tough but fair. You can tell they have put in work to make the conditions great. Cut fairways. Even tee boxes. Smooth and fast greens. Yeah, the place could put in some work repainting signs, reconditioning carts, etc. - but if that's what you are worried about when golfing, never leave your private club.

We were worried about conditions based off of past reviews, but they were really good. So at least late season, the courses are really in great shape.

Lodging was also good. The two main points of importance for me: Does the room smell? Does it feel and look clean?

Answers: It smelled clean and looked and felt clean!

For around $100 bucks, you will not find a better stay and play golf package!

Love this Place! We take a trip in may and again now in September. The deal is absolutely unbeatable. A round of golf for each day and two nights at the resort for 125 is amazing. There is also a little par 3 (it's a pitch and putt) that is right behind the rooms. The courses are fun and the people are nice. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes to go on a golf trip.

What a great time. This was my first time ever golfing. Very professional and friendly staff. The golf courses are amazing. The room we stayed in was immaculate. If given the chance I would definitely return to do it all over again. Thank you for a great experience.

Great trip, great accommodations, great staff!!!! and beautiful golf courses. Greens on Blackshire need more care but they told us that before we played. Sorry restaurant and bar was closed (no staff to work, everyones problem). But go if you get the chance - we will be back.

Played this course as a part of a group golfer. The course was in great shape. Greens were huge and rolled fantastic. Had a huge rain storm right before we played and the course was still very playable. Needs a few more trash cans, hole directions/ signs, and a halfway house or beer girls. All and all give it 5 stars and would definitely play it again.

Went with a group of three golfers, via GroupGolfer package. A great value! The golf condos were very clean. Simple accommodations, but everything you need. Shower and bathroom was spotless. The golf courses were in very good shape, after a downpour. So much rain the bunkers were unplayable (but it poured!). Course needs UPDATING with course signs, trashcans, halfway house etc... but as for the actual golf course, in great condition. Large greens that roll true, nice fairways and tee boxes.

We enjoyed Blackshire the most (Northern Michigan feel). The Gailes is a great course, but you better be able to hit it straight!

Lake Huron is a 5 minute ride from condos with beautiful beaches to relax at.

All people/employees we came across were very polite and accommodating.

For the price and value of the courses and stay, 5/5! I would not pay big bucks to golf here. But with the GroupGolfer voucher, it was a great value.

Look forward to coming back!

Craig and Tamara are fantastic proprietor of this stay and play facility. This well priced stay and play has 3 courses and a unique 18 hole pitch and putt practice course outside your lodging area. Highly recommend each of the 3 regulation courses. My favorite is the Gales a traditional Scottish links course. Thank you Craig and Tamara we will definitely be back.

After reading the reviews my group went in with low expectations. We were all blown away. The weekend just kept getting better. We played the Blackshire course first. It's an ok course. Greens were a bit slow but fun. Our rooms weren't as bad as the reviews either. We had a grill and an oven. We cooked and grilled every night. 2nd day we played Serradella and Gailes courses. Both great. Greens quick and true. Lakewood will be in our rotation for future trips, for sure.

This is a resort that has great value. The courses are in excellent condition and present a good challenge. The hotel facilities are good and all staff are courteous. Definitely worth the drive.

we stayed 2 nights and played 45 holes of golf over 3 days. (Blackshire, Gailes and 27 at Seradella) Blackshire suffered burning on all greens this past summer. Big tracts of all greens were nothing but mud and cracked earth. Its a very beautiful setting though, lots of elevation, blind shots, water, sand and woods. One bounce off the fairway and bye bye golf ball! it moved fairly well. Gailes was in outstanding condition with greens running 11 or so. Seradella was more gentle with very little trouble. Rooms were in good condition, fairly appointed for stinky golfers, and bed was comfortably stiff. Service at the course was very good!

Great place for a group resort, 3 course unlimited golf for the price can't beat that. Only thing I can complain about, no wifi at resort room. Other than that will definitely be back 2023.
