Sparkling Sands Resort LLC

Sparkling Sands is a wonderful place! My wife and I just spent four days at the resort and will definitely be back! The cottages are comfy and cozy. The view is AMAZING. The owners are attentive, friendly, and fantastic! Over all a wonderful experience. Looking forward to booking again next year!

This was our first year staying here and my family and I absolutely loved it. The owners are so down to earth and they let you do your thing. The beach and landscape is so well kept and the cabins are perfect for what we wanted. The flowers and trees just give the place a tranquil atmosphere especially, with the beach view. They cabins are spacious and cozy. They even have wifi, cable, and a dvd/VHS player. In addition, they have a whole little storage room full of beach toys, games, movies, puzzles and books for you to use during your stay. They also allow dogs which was a must for us. Definitely coming back next year. Thanks for the good time and all the hard work y'all put into its beauty. See ya next year ❤

Perfect place to relax on the beach. Cabins very clean and a very pleasant, enjoyable resort. Love the flowers all about and the book and game cupboard. Owners super nice. My only disappointment about the area in general is that there is not a place to take long walks on the beach. You are limited to your cabin area. But this is true for all of Oscoda...people put fences and cement and plants up between the beach properties which is not attractive and attracts bugs in the resulting swampiness. I wish they would tear them all down. So no dawn runs on the beach and the road is a bit dangerous if you are a runner. I did run on the river trail and the river area is great to explore on foot, by car, and in kayaks, canoes, and tubes. This is a wonderful property in Oscoda and the river drive is spectacularly beautiful! I loved the swing and bed on my cabin porch for reading and hearing the waves. Beach toys here for children and a wonderful place to bask in the sand and go swimming. Go for the quiet, scenery, and relaxing rest in beauty.

Some friends and I have now been up there twice and have had a FABULOUS time both times. The owners were MORE than accommodating to our every need. We had bonfires every night, we grilled at the provided bar-b-ques, enjoyed the cards and games we borrowed from their game room and spent endless hours on the beach, watching the sunrise AND the full moon shining over our bonfire late at night. We brought our own horseshoes and corn hole game and laughed and laughed in the sunshine. We are definitely going to come back as soon as we can work it out.

We had a wonderful time here the last few days! The cabin was clean, the water was hot, the screened in porch was so cute and comfortable and the sand was soft and free of debris. We will be back and bring friends next time!

We booked last minute for a couple nights when our other plans changed. So glad someone recommended Sparkling Sands instead of the hotel we booked. We loved the cottage and all of the little details. They make sure your summer getaway details are all covered! We'll be back for a longer stay next time!

AMAZING!! It was exactly what my family of 3 was looking for. Relaxing, tranquil, and a great home atmosphere. All 5 of the cottages have a view of the lake, and by view I mean 50 feet of the lake.

BEACH: Before you get the beach there are swings, volley ball net, and comfy lounge chairs on a nice sandy area. Then 20 feet further is the beach. Clean areas and no traffic because it is private.

COTTAGE: I had rented a 2 bedroom cottage that can house 6 (2 in each room, and 2 on a pull out sleeper in the living room). It was clean as all can get out. It had a full kitchen (with plates, glasses, cooking utensils, and cutlery), full bath, living room, CABLE, WIFI, and a front sunroom with another kitchen table and swing chair. Lots of windows, easy to use heater, and that rustic charm you look for when going on vacation.

If you are looking to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the city and get to where the view is great and its quiet, I couldn't recommend a better place. I will be coming here with family for years to come. Everything is where you need it. As well, its only a 5 minute drive into Oscoda for any supplies.There is a grilling area, a room with extra kids toys, and the owners live 7 minutes away, so if there is an issue they can get there super quick. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful location, can't beat the view. Owners live on site and are friendly and responsive. Buildings are clean and have multiple beds and rooms, full kitchen and wifi.

I knew the cottages would be a bit rustic, and knowing that I was perfectly happy. Everything functioned well, and beach was really nice.

Very peaceful quite kid friendly place to get away

Nice clean cabins with good access to the beach. Wifi worked good. BBQ area not the most convenient thing, would be nice to grill near picnic area by cabin.
