Excellent location for Acadia national Park, big level sites, wide roads to get rigs in, super friendly owners, nice and quiet. Very clean bathrooms and laundry room. Reserve early cause the prices go up as they get full. I would stay again. No tents camping excellent WiFi and cell signal

We spent two nights at Forest Ridge. The campground is clean, small, and the people are exceptionally nice. They have a wealth of information of things to do and places to eat. They know the best places to go in Acadia NP, and were very helpful. The sites are level, clean and the hookups are in good working order. Try the blueberry pie at Union River Lobster Restaurant. It's delicious!! We enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and loved this campground! Workers were so friendly and very helpful. Nice size lots. Liked that there was laundry on sight. Loved that the rules are followed and enforced. Will definitely stay here again!

We have a 43 foot Class A with toad and found this campground to be very nice. Easy to get the rig in and out of the park. Long spots, but site 23 has a big dip in it, so be careful there. Beautiful trails to walk, full hook ups, very quiet.

For my wife and I this is an ideal campground. Small, quiet, friendly family owned, near shopping, churches and near Acadia Park. We are seasonal and spend 3 months at Forest Ridge.

I stayed here for 3 months, while working in the area. Owners are wonderful people. They expect the campers to behave and can blunt about the rules but never mean. Every interaction I have had with them was friendly. The sites are nice and quiet. For being close to the main road you barely hear any road noise. I would recommend this place to anyone without kids looking for a quiet place with good access to town. Cell service is good as well.

A very nice, clean, and quiet campground. The campground owners and staff have thought of everything here. Nice level, well groomed RV sites with gravel surfaces and roads. This is a quiet campground, don’t even think about partying or playing loud music here, as it is not the place for it. They offer excellent cable TV (for an upcharge) and WIFI (for free). The WIFI is exceptionally fast throughout the park as there are several access points and networks, they will tell you which network to connect to when you check in. The laundry is $2 per wash and dry. They have three washers and three dryers, which are all in excellent condition. The location of this campground is excellent. You can reach Bar Harbor and Acadia NP in about 30 minutes. You can also reach downtown Bangor in 30 minutes. Historic Downtown Ellsworth is about a mile or so down the road and offers a few nice restaurants and shops, Airline Brewing is nice, but small so you might have trouble getting a seat at popular eating times. Ellsworth also has major grocery stores, pharmacies and even a Walmart and Home Depot. They also have some cool only in Maine stores such as Mardens (great fabric selection) and Renys (great outdoor gear). Forest Ridge is a great choice for your Acadia and Downeast Maine explorations! I highly recommend it!

Quiet, clean and just what I wanted. I stayed in their cabin. It was comfortable and easily accessible. The rest rooms were always immaculate and the hosts always friendly. Very convenient to all that this part of Maine has to offer. I would definitely return.

Nice quiet, clean campground. Not a lot of amenities, there is a pool and playground. We wanted a nice quiet place and this was it. Nice pull through big enough for my 45 foot class A. Lynn, Jeff and son Nate were friendly and helpful.

e stayed there last summer. We found Jeff to be accommodating to our camping needs. The little cabins were not only cute but clean. The water is hot in the bathrooms, very convient.

We go to a lot of campgrounds and all of them have rules in the end. We have experienced personally the campers that have made complaints about the owners. They are usually the rule breakers themselfs. The owners try to provide a comfortable, safe campground environment for those who want to get away. Typically from the ones who break rules.

If you want to come to a quiet, tranquil, safe, no nonsense environment this is the place for you.
Typically there are extended stay campers and so their campground is quite often full, so messing around is obviously something that they don’t have to put up with, which we appreciate. It is very close to other attractions so if you are the kind to go out and about it is very Convenient. Being far enough away you don’t get the city sounds, but being close enough you’re not in the middle of nowhere. There are multiple walking paths and bike trails right near the camp, which are good trails.

Not only are they kind, but the campers are too. It’s a good place for a little quite get-away vacay. We are most definitely going back next summer.

Great campground! Just off the highway but feels like you're in the middle of the forest. Sites are nice. The solitude is awesome. Absolutely no highway noise at my site. Great spot for a night or a summer! I'll be returning here for sure!

I am responding to Irv and Tim.

In reference to speed limit, the Owners have this expectation clearly posted and I was personally informed about the rationale.

Our stay was July and early August. I recall listening to barking dogs in an unoccupied Unit with Texas tags ALL day long. The stores including Walmart, Parks, and many outdoor lobster restaurants allow your leashed pet. I observed a truck speeding back into the park later that evening, perhaps due to a cell call from the Owners. I did not make the complaint but smiled when you hooked up the next morning.

We finally made it to Maine after six months of experiencing so much beauty. Our first RV park in Old Orchard was a horrible experience. You can look that up on my other reviews. With that said our goal was to find a beautiful RV park located between Acadia National Park and Bangor. So I decided somewhere around Ellsworth. I started reading the reviews about Forest Ridge and the one star that someone wrote caught my eye. The things that the person said was exactly what I was looking for in a park. When my wife, two little fur babies and myself arrived at the park we were greeted by the owner(Jeff)and his wife. Immediately they made us feel like we were welcomed guest. The park is so beautiful with the top part being partial shade and the bottom half being mostly shade with a beautiful setting. The lots are huge compared to the other parks we had stayed at.
The grass was constantly being maintained. Everyone we met at the park was so friendly to us. Most of all the park was very relaxing and safe. I walked my dogs without fear of being attacked by other dogs. No drunks, partying or craziness was allowed. The people drove their vehicles with respect for others. The restrooms and laundry was immaculate.
The park was perfectly located exactly where we needed it in order to visit all of the beauty we traveled so far to experience. A special thank you to Jeff for checking on us and keeping a clean and safe place to stay while in Maine.
We rode the free LL Bean bus a couple of times into Bar Harbor and was able to go inside several other RV parks on the bus route. They all looked so crowded and mundane. I honestly feel we made the best choice by choosing Jeff’s park, and don’t let me forget to mention we got to meet Darrel the famous ATF dog.
Jeff please don’t ever change a thing in your park, it’s perfect just the way it is.
