I have a biased view after living in Texas and just getting back from visiting. For the price and quality in the midwest- it is well worth the visit. The people are very friendly and helpful as well. Pasta salad really just was pasta noodles and one tomato, so that was a little disappointing. Baked beans were amazing, and i enjoyed the coleslaw well enough. The brisket was my favorite. The pulled pork was better than most, but I would probably skip the rib tips next time.

Really loved walking in, getting seated right away. The food was quick and absolutely delicious! We truly appreciated our all-in-one server. Unfortunately cannot recall his name but can not forget the impact his French culture offered 8f. Genuinely made the experience far better.

Oh. My. Word! This is it! This is the place to go for absolutely top notch BBQ! Do not miss the place! I don't know where to even start so I'll just say I go to a lot of different little BBQ places and this one checks all the right boxes! They know what they're doing! Maybe the best brisket I've ever had. Honestly. Priced right also.

Great BBQ! I had the Ribs and my wife had the brisket sandwich. Both great! The sweet tea hit the spot.

The smoked meat is delicious! You get large servings and it is well worth the price! I even love their burgers. Great place to eat!! The employees give good customer service too.

I’m really big on customer service and this place is top tier. My family I came in on a Sunday and they were super friendly, helpful and pleasant towards us. My daughter dropped her knife and the staff was right there with a clean new one in seconds. They were informative letting us know their specials and asking if we needed anything. Very accommodating with food orders. They have a buffet style (including breakfast and lunch) but you can also order food off of their menu. They have a bar area and a small seating area. When we came, we didn’t have to wait. Would recommend everyone to check them out and try their biscuits and gravy. The gravy is made in house!

Only one waitress there when we first got there at noon on a Saturday she did a great job of trying to keep up with everything until her help arrived. Now on to the important part. The food was delicious. Ended up having the brisket platter with two sides. Their house made barbecue sauce is delicious. Definitely would call ahead if you're in a lunch rush they do take out orders. The manager or the owner not quite sure who came out greet us to make sure everything was all right which was a nice touch. Definitely be back. Thanks

If you haven't been need to make plans! Some of the best food around. I don't mind driving there from Benton Harbor because the food is THAT good. We've never been disappointed. Try their spicy BBQ sauce! 🤤

HOT BBQ SAUCE. Need I say more? Okay, I shall...this place rocks. Anytime I walk into a place and hear Ella Fitzgerald or Duke Ellington, its going to be a good time. Automatically, no question, the atmosphere is on point. The vibe is chill, the employees are friendly and personable. You can tell when a chef loves being a chef. The food tastes different. This man cooks with love. I made sure to purchase a to go cup of hot BBQ, which I heavily regretted not doing the last time I was there. I want to put it on everything. Go to Jim's Smokin' Cafe. No regrets to be had, and many return trips will be made.

Ps...Google is asking me to select dishes to recommend. I need a "all the damn dishes" option. Because...ALL THE DAMN DISHES! EAT IT ALL!

Loved their food and service but also loved that we could reserve a table! Not many places offer that anymore. The food was phenomenal! Prices are very reasonable.

Wow this was a little gem. The breakfast buffet filled me up till dinner. Recommend the waffles and candied bacon. Service was top notch and very friendly. The brisket platter looks really good as well.

Service was exceptional! The burger was one of the best I’ve had, it was juicy, cooked perfect and full of flavor. I look forward to coming back often!

Great food. Steak tips were delicious. Nice sweet girl served us right before close and she didn’t make us feel bad about showing up 20mins before close. Definitely coming again.

I had the New York Pastrami Sandwich. Every ounce of that half pound of meat was present and accounted for. Hot and warm, not too fatty but just the right amount.

Service was terrific by a gentleman with a heavy French accent, reminds me of my trips to Montreal.

Atmosphere was relaxed with solid blues music.

If anything I could mention that I would like just a little different, and I’m reaching for this, the coleslaw had a great base to it, a nice foundation I’d say, but lacked a bite or a standout personality.

I’d eat here again any day, maybe multiple times a week if I lived anywhere close to the area. But the next time I’m in Niles during lunch I will be here.

Where to start...Absolutely Fantastic everything!! Small is mighty. About 12 choices on the buffet, however they go fast and are replaced with different items. Kust to name a few, they had scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, 2 differently sauced ribs, scalloped potatoes, beef brisket, pulled pork, 2 types of sausage, all meals smoked on premises. And to top it all off, the server asked if I wanted anything from the kitchen like waffles or eggs prepared a special way. What??? Yes, thank you.
Worth the drive and I can't say enough great things about this place. Please patronize this great place.

Knew nothing about this place but when I drove by, I saw that the tagline for this restaurant was "Life is too short for boring food" and was immediately curious. I'm glad I followed my curiosity because their brunch was amazing. Will definitely be back with my family!

Jim's Smokin' Cafe is a absolute treasure!
Update: Jim's is one of the best little gems of a BBQ joint around.
But he does so much more like Baja shrimp tacos, killer chicken quarters, brisket chilli, perfect sandwiches (Personally, A Cuban is the sandwich I go-to and his is excellent)
Best of all tho, as is the M.O. of yours truly, Jim's sells the Best local Artesian Gelato!!!!!!

Always great food! Street tacos and brisket with their home bbq sauce are my favorites, tho really anything you can order is great, and the weekend buffet really hits the spot.
