Crow Wing Kayaks

I have been wanting to purchase my own kayak for quite some time now, but never knew what to look for. Every season I’d see lots of options at fleet farm, Walmart and the like but never pulled the trigger because of the shot in the dark you’d be taking hoping that you’d like what you opted for. Thank God I found a local business owned by someone from the community. Tom was great to work with and he helped us customize our kayaks to exactly what we wanted. They are truly the most comfortable kayak I’ve ever been in. They glide through the water as if some kind of sport model, but have the stability to truly make oneself perfectly comfortable and at ease. I can’t recommend highly enough.
As a fellow small business owner I’d suggest you get these kayaks simply for the aspect of supporting a local business, but add on top that they’ve got a model and customer service that is worth every penny and then some, well that’s all there is to say.
So, if you’re in the market for a kayak just do yourself a favor already and get yourself a Crow Wing Kayak!

We floated about 5 hours through the backwoods and had an awesome trip! Did not see very many people at all. Even caught plenty of fish and drank even more beverages.

Overall the booking and drop offs were super easy and relaxed. Would highly recommend!

Had a fantastic experience buying at Crow Wing Kayaks! Elysha and Tom got me set up right away and I was out on the lake only an hour later! Excellent build on the kayak with lots of little conveniences that make it easy to forget everything and just enjoy the water. Shop local and you won't be disappointed!

I just had an amazing experience with Crow Wing Kayaks. I am senior (75), never kayaked before, looking for a way to enjoy our beautiful lakes on my own without the hassle of a larger boat. I rented a kayak from Crow Wing Kayaks, Crosslake, MN, during our resort vacation. Great customer service, family owned, went above and beyond. My very first adventure was honestly bliss - the kayaks are incredibly stable, easy to use, very responsive, very well made. Being out on the lake with the loons was beyond lovely. I just put in my order with Crow Wing Kayaks to buy my own. Great company, great people, great experience!

Tom and Elysha were very helpful! We rented kayaks on a very windy day.
Tom recommended a drop-off point for us, and as we were getting ready to go, he came back and suggested a different lake. Out of concern for us, he'd gone to scope out Strawberry Lake, smaller and more sheltered. He loaded up the kayaks (as well as our friends' paddle boards) and took us to the new spot. It was heaven! Perfect spot for an afternoon of relaxing kayaking and swimming. We would definitely recommend Crow Wing Kayaks and will be back. Amazing customer service.

Crow Wing Kayaks are a pleasure to work with. We purchased 2 kayaks from them and have been very happy with the the quality of the kayaks. It was also nice to pick out the colors 😀 I appreciate that the kayaks are American made and we could support a local business.

We were staying at a rental property on Cross Lake with a large group of family. We saw CWK while out and about in town, and reached out to them about renting some kayaks and a paddle board during our stay. Elysha responded very quickly even though it was after hours, and Tom delivered 2 kayaks and a paddle board to our cabin bright and early the next day. Service was excellent, we got a lot of use out of the kayaks and board, and we can’t wait to rent from them again next time we visit.

They have new owners this summer (Elysha and Tom) and are increasing the availability and experience of the rental portion of the business - we were so happy! We rented Kayaks for a trip on Pine River. They provided a shuttle for us and a brief intro to their kayaks. We had a wonderful 2 hour trip. The owners were very helpful and responsive, really invested in making sure customers have a fun experience. Thank you!!

We had a group of 11 kayaking the Pine from the Cross Lake dam to the Pine Lake rock dam. Tom was great to work with: responsive, informative and set everything up for us. All of the equipment was in outstanding condition. We had a great time!

Love this family-owned business! Scheduling was a breeze, and they do everything they can to make it a stress-free experience, including helping coordinate vehicles for pick up, loading/unloading kayaks, and providing great instructions so you know what to expect!

Who says customer service is a thing of the past?! Crow Wing kayak in Crosslake is a very professional and outstanding (not to mention fun) business! Wow, I really just can't say enough about them regarding service, turnaround time and custom tailoring to your ride. After researching many different kayak Brands and waiting a few years to get the right one, I finally did! Crow Wing kayaks are rated one of the best for being less Tippy as well as UV rating and durability! (in case you hit that big rock!) Just go get a couple quick before they're gone for the season! Amazing kayaks that we found renting from Cuyuna outfitters a few times and was very impressed with Ty stability given I has never kayaked before. Undermarketed compared to the national brands but an awesome company to work with. They kayaks are made in Minnesota and have provided many great memories for my partner and I

Thank you so much for such an awesome day! Tom was very helpful with explaining all the trip choices. The kayaks were very comfortable and stable. We saw a lot of wildlife on our trip; from countless bald eagles and golden eagles to the huge fish swimming below us. We even saw some porcupines!

My friends and I decided to do a spur of the moment kayaking trip near Crosslake, and we pulled into their shop and were able to rent two kayaks right then and there. Everything was a breeze! The representative provided us with a thorough and educational rundown of how to pick up the kayaks, drop them off, and provided us with paddles and life jackets. We will be returning!
