We camp here often. The price is great, and the sites are beautiful! There are clean restrooms and showers and lots of things to see and do in the area.

Glad to be back at Cross. Great weather. There are some nice improvements to the campground this year. Added a few full hookup sites and planted grass seed in areas. Looking forward to our time here again.

Beautiful campground, nice fishing piers, comfy picnic area with gazebos/pavillions, decent restrooms. Dam history is interesting. Close to convenience facilities and dining.

This place is beautiful in the fall. Spacious sites make you feel like you are way out of town when really you are in walking distance of anything you might need. Grocery store, liquor store, gas, restaurants... It's also on an awesome lake chain if you are into recreational boating or fishing.
The down side, it's like getting Willy Wonka's golden ticket to get into this place. You have to plan way ahead and get online the moment they allow you to book. And don't plan on getting a site next to your friends unless they also are online at the right time.

I love this campground. The sites are clean, sized generously and are nicely naturally shaded or partially shaded. Some can be close to the neighboring site which is great if you are group camping but something to consider if you are not. Even the sites that are close have room enough to set up in a way that will offer you privacy. The per-night fee is more than fair for what you get.
The beach and swimming area are clean, weed free, and have clear water. Kid-sized PFDs are available for loan in a cupboard at the beach. There's a boat launch and landing area and the lake hooks to the larger chain of lakes.
Approved campfire wood only is available for purchase during limited hours which can be tricky to schedule but is necessary to keep the health of the local trees. The bundles are generously sized.
There are playgrounds and bike trails on site and a convenience store across the street for basic necessities.

My parents have been taken me to cross lake campground before I could walk. 33 years later in still going! Great place, especially if you can get a group out there. The lakes are fantastic and the people are friendly!

Such a great campground. Very well maintained. Sites on the weekends book up fast. Been coming here since I was a kid and it's still one of the best camping experiences Minnesota.

The best shower house ever. Water pressure is amazing. Everything is well cared for, and even though the campground was full, there was plenty of social distancing space. Two thumbs up.

my family has been going for 43 years the only thing that bugs us is that every year it gets harder to get reservations we normally go up June and July two weeks each but this year we could barley get June for two weeks but luckily we got two weeks in June but overall it's a great family getaway

Very nice setting on lake, multiple bathrooms and in the center of town. I walk my dog here morning and night. I highly recommend this campground.

Don't let anyone know how great a job our Corp of Engineers do at maintaining wonderful campgrounds. I am glad to see others spend big bucks at those fancy expensive RV resorts.
