Just camped there this weekend for the 1st time and we will not be going back. The prices to stay are very expensive so we expected more out of this place for what they want to be charging. The sites we booked that whole area is very crammed! You could literally hear your neighbors talking in their camper. Our neighbors were a group of drunks so we got to hear them all night and by 7am they were at it again. When we 1st arrived there was 2 piles of fresh dog poop on our site and we had to wait 20 min for it to be picked up. They charge almost 8 bucks a bag for ice! And get this. If you want to fish you are not allowed to fish anywhere on that entire campground. You have to have your own boat, rent one if theirs or walk yourself out to the main road and fish off of main road. I’m not really sure what the reason is behind this other than they want more of your money so you have to rent their boat. We left everyday we were there to Steamboat because we could fish there and the swimming area is wayyyyy nicer. The Cantina there has alright food but also very pricey. Their shower stalls have dollar store shower curtains and half the holes where the shower curtain rings go are ripped so only about 1/2 the shower curtain is actually hung so you’ve gotta be careful cause you don’t really have privacy while showering. I’m not one to complain about prices but when your charging 70 plus per night your place should be more kept up and cleaner. This place is not worth the money they want to be charging and we had kind of heard a lot of these same issues but we wanted to try it out for ourselves. The best part of this place was the band they had there “Rusty Nail and the Hammers” they sang good and sounded really great!

Set up our camp site right near the shore of the lake. The side of the campground near the shared beach was windy at times, but listening to the water hit the shore was nice when going to sleep. The side of the campground with the boat launch never seemed to get any wind, even when our side was at its peak. Just glass reflection off the water. Wasp and bees were a problem for us. We had to make traps with water bottles and dish soap to try and contain them but there was still 3 bites during our 6 days there, luckily no kids were bit. Recommend net tents for the picnic table and traps inside for the ones that get in. The lake is the absolute best for water vehicles so if you have boats and seadoos it's a must stay. There is 2 trailer parking lots and a dock to moor at night. We anchored at our campsite but for $30 per night you can use the dock, we had one night it was too windy and we didnt want it to bang on the beach.

They found my husband's wedding ring! We had some follies on this trip; broken transmission, forgot things, some broken toes. But when we realized that I dropped my husband's wedding ring while trying to get our boat oit of the water with a uhaul box truck.... I was sure we would never see it again. I called them as we were driving away, and they were able to find it and keep it in a safe for us. The manager was very accommodating and communicative. I was elated when we got it. Great people! Really appreciate their help in a very stressful situation.

Sunbanks has become a new annual favorite camping spot. We had a big crowd and were able to book 3 spots right on the water front just a short walk from the boat launch. And we loved being on the water!! Our spots were secluded just enough to enjoy our company without bothering our neighbors! The night life was also great! We love the Cantina!! Kareokee night was the best
And shout out to Crystal who was our awesome Bar Tender! Sun Banks is really such an awesome place to get away and just relax! We can't wait to go back!

I absolutely enjoyed staying here the two months that I was able to. My mom and I stayed there from March-May in 2018 and we stayed in one of the houses on the hill which overlooked a beautiful lake and the mountains. During my time here I made it a point to wake up at 5 every day to watch the sun rise over the lake and mountains. Obviously the unit was built for one person or a couple, because there was only one bed in the unit but the couch wasn't wildly uncomfortable. Business definitely picks up around spring break, but still a great time!

Great experience this last weekend. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They allowed early check-in and late check-out without hesitation. The Lakeside Cabin was clean and nicely tidied for our arrival. This is the third time our family has stayed in one of these cabins over the last five years, and each time we've been pleased with the experience. We'll definitely be back.

Sunbanks resort has a lot of accommodations, from dry cabins to houses to rent, tent sites, and RV sites, a cantina & restaurant, a little store, plus a boat launch and boat/jet ski rentals! The sunsets are amazing here, the staff was great. Great place to go visit that is only 4 hours away from Seattle.

We were there last weekend 25th Aug 2023 and had great time! Boaters paradise! Great folks, beautiful setting, Fun kerioki lol. One thing though! If BRINGING BIKES there are what they call Goat heads a loose brier like mini tacks will puncture most bike tires so be prepared for that.. We had three bikes and all were flat in one hour. I would recommend that they should post warning on web sight and or on sight for that issue. Other than that!! 5 Stars! Thx Eric and Crystal! ; )

Nice camp sites. Great dock and water access. Lots of watercraft rentals. 4 1/2 stars is more fitting. We rented a boat that the battery died half way through our trip. They made it right with a full refund. Good on them. Some athroom/outhouses were quite smelly. Not all but some. Overall a very fun time with a few bad points. Yes, without a doubt i would go back!

We come with a group annually for 5 years and have a great time every year. The rv spots are perfect and if you book ahead and ask they will put your group all together. Recently we stayed in the house with ten people there was more then enough room and it was very nice. This is a great place to party and we have met new friends every year. We have never had any issues that other people are writing about, as long as you are respectful of people and the rules you will have fun here.

We had a great time!! Heres the thing, it's a big place but theres some gem sites!! Most campers are packed in like sardines on a holiday weekend but we picked a great one!! Choose a waterline site. Ours was T94. Very private, up against a brush cove to one side, trees for a hammock. Pretty perfect for a tent site!

This place was wonderful. It exceeded our expectations. We had a mess up with our campsite and the ladies at the front were amazing and helped us to fix it right away. Found other sites that would work for what we needed no questions asked drove us around to check them out before we decided. Will return for sure and highly recommend this resort. Thank you!!!

The new owners have done such a great job in such a short time. Such good people still pushing on through tough times. We are planing an additional trip this summer just because they made it hassle free for our family. Honestly don’t know a better spot in Washington.

I went for a wedding held next to the lake, it was amazing! I took a tour of the actual resort and was totally surprised how large it is, well landscaped and so many places for people to set up a tent or park a camper and yet still have alot of privacy. They also have tons of cabins that can be rented and the lake is right there, good fishing and you can even rent a boat from the resort. It was a wonderful wedding and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet place to take a fun vacation.

Great spot for a family vacation. The have everything from tent/RV sites to small cabins, apartments or even full houses to rent. All within walking distance of the lake. There is a beach, marina, mini golf, small playground and field. The price points go from very affordable to pretty spendy, letting people from all walks of life enjoy a good time. There is a main lodge with a small store and a restaurant / lounge with indoor and outdoor seating and the food is pretty tasty but I would skip getting a soda and go with water or beer. The soda I got was old and flat as it had been poured from a can that had already been opened who knows when. AL I. All I would be happy to come back and stay again!

I get out there twice a year for the blues festivals and our group gets a (the same) 5 bedroom house every time. There is everything and more that you would need provided in the houses. They are starting showing their age just a bit but I wouldn't call that anything to complain about. The grounds are well cared for and the setting would be awesome no matter the event that brought you there. The roads in the resort could use some love but not a big deal as the speed limit is 5 mph. I love this place!!

Wonderful people, incredible location!
We brought a group of 7th and 8th grade students to Sunbanks for 4 days of exploring the area. We had an absolutely fabulous time, largely due to the kind and super friendly staff at Sunbanks. I couldn’t recommend a stay here more!!
