Red Hill Fire Tower Trailhead

Red Hill was a challenging hike to get to the fire tower. The views made this trek absolutely worth it. There are 360 degree of scenery at the top of the tower. Did have to use our spikes because ice was abundant. The little cabin and historical features were a nice touch. Would like to revisit this place again in the fall for foliage.

It's a pretty steep walk but once you get to the top the view is such a reward! I was awestruck coming up the firetower! The hike is absolutely worth doing, truly beautiful.

Trail itself is in good condition, I did the loop, going the cabin trail coming down the mountain, cabin trail isn't as easy to navigate but there are fun sights along the way so it's worth taking.

Well maintained trail. Moderate effort on the climb. There are several very cool old cellar hole sites along the loop. The view from the tower is gorgeous and perfectly shows off the beauty of the lakes and mountain region of New Hampshire. After your hike, make sure to check out the cool little boutique and snack hut near the trailhead.

What a great hike. As good as West Rattlesnake! Easier than Mt Major, with a really unique payoff. The fire tower gives views North into the mountains and is really unique. It’s 3.5 miles round trip. Easy to get to from Meredith, Laconia and elsewhere in the Lakes Region.

During the winter, usually only the lower area is open with room for about four cars, the upper area can afford eight cars to park. I like to head up the red hill trail and come back down the cabin trail. The views of Squam Lake and Lake Winnipesaukee from the fire tower are pretty incredible

Great hike. Pretty steep, be warned, but very defined and beautiful trails. View at the top is amazing.

Great hike to The Fire Tower! My dog and I even came across a porcupine and luckily we were not harmed! The hike has a great mixture of easier and more difficult hikes!

Beautiful trail. Wonderful climb to the yup. You can see soo far out over the water.

Trails are in great condition. No snow or ice. As most of the trails in NH the fallen leaves are covering loose rocks making for a bit of a hazard. Great views of the NH Lakes Region.

The trail is clearly marked and there is plenty of parking. Very rocky trail with great views from the top.
