What a nice piece of history just off the main road out of Dayton. The metal depiction of the Lewis and Clark campsite way back around the 1800s is very cool to see and signage explains them all.

This area has a rich history with native Americans and the coming of the white men, beginning with the Lewis and Clark expedition. The heritage marker is well done and the silhouette displays that are placed in the campsite in the valley below are very well done, it is true to history with the correct number of silhouettes representing everyone in the Lewis and Clark party, plus each one of their names listed at the heritage Marker with the description of their responsibilities within the party. It was very eye opening and the metal silhouettes give it a true sense of realism inputs names with the faces that are otherwise only written on paper.

Like size steel sculptures help visualize some of what life must have been like for the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery. They camped here on their return to St Louis from the Pacific coast.

What a beautiful and peaceful place. In just the short time we were there we saw wild turkey 🦃 and black bear off near the tree line. Hawks soaring overhead. The display of people really helped to imagine what went on back then.

Excellent! We were in search of the town of Ronan ....we found the road Ronan Road and we're excited because our grandson is named Ronan. The Lewis and Clark camp structures with the silhouettes was an amazing exhibit locat ed on the corner of Ronan Road and Patit Creek. Our grandson will be as excited as we are. There is no longer a town named Ronan, but the history was even better!

Exact lifesized duplicate of an original sketch from one of the team members of Lewis and Clark. A beautiful place where they camped. Makes you feel like one of the party.

If you're in to Lewis and Clark, this is something pretty cool, metal statues of their encampment in 1806 on the original camp spot

The first time I saw this place, I thought there were real animals and people there. The person who made the silhouettes of the animals and people are very realistic.
