I was driving through this town and had to stop to check this place out and I'm glad I did. Great lil shop

Amazing shop. Very impressive variety of board games, and the owners work really hard at keeping the inventory fresh, so it’s always worth a walk through (or browsing on their website) for anything new.

Always good vibes in the shop, and the owners clearly care about their customers and the community. Good stuff all around, definitely recommend.

Very large selection of MTG cards, and the accessories seem to be of good quality. The atmosphere is great also. They are very welcoming and are willing to help anyone find what they are looking for.

Very homey place and the owners will go out of their way to help you find whatever you are looking for! They are very knowledgeable of new promotions for the card games they offer (Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Magic the Gathering) and try to get you the best deal possible. They are very inviting and accommodating and the people in the store are also very friendly! Regulars will help you learn new games or test out new decks in Magic. Highly recommend stopping in and introducing yourself!

The selection of games here is fantastic and the owners are very friendly and personable. I went in around early December looking for a gift for my father and had rather specific needs to fit all members of my family. Eric suggested a game he thought would work for us (Sagrada) and despite a magic event occurring he pulled out the game and showed us how to play, allowing us to play the game to decide if we thought it would work for us. It was a fantastic experience and my family loves the game. Overall it is a very welcoming environment to all types of people and I would recommend it to anyone.

Super accommodating store. Beyond fair prices for a local game shop. This store understands its clients and the value of what they're selling. They could make more selling online but meet the needs of their customers instead. They have a passion for board games, but are the best chances in town for finding Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, Flesh and Blood or MTG products. Even started mini paintings and have a wall of minis for sale (at reasonable prices)

Great place to come and play (for free). Whether its Magic, boardgames, or other tcgs, D&D, the owners Eric and Courtney are always welcoming. Any questions or interests are met with helpful guidance. Pricing is fair and honest. They have a ridiculous amount of MtG singles, both valuable cards and regular commons, all sorted for your ease. Binders full of rares sorted by set, all of which makes it so easy to find those exact cards you need to finish decks. The store also supports Friday Night Magic with prize support, runs weekly Friday events for MtG, and weekly YuGiOh events on Mondays now too! As far as boardgames, they have a crazy amount of different options, some of which you can even take a practice try of while at the store before you buy. They also run a 5$ stamp card promo, where every $20 you spend gets you a stamp, a full stamp card (5 stamps) gets you $5 store credit. MtG trade ins are also accepted. You won't do much better than this, the only thing holding them back is needing a bigger store!

While traveling in the area, I had the pleasure of shopping at Serenity Hobbies during a quick stop in Norwich. I wanted to purchase some Yu-Gi-Oh cards for my kids, I was impressed with the selection. While I didn't need any tabletop games, I made a note of the quality and variety of the games for sale.
I was chatting with the counter clerk (may have been the proprietor), who told me that while the original Serenity is in Oneonta, the Norwich shop has been open for a bit now. I'd believe that, there were a decent number of people in there, esp for a hobby shop. Seemed pretty popular. I was especially impressed with how welcoming and inclusive the store felt. Gamers are a rather diverse (and too often marginalized) group, I was happy to see a safe space for them, particularly in times like these.
Anyway, I digress. I was there for Yu-Gi-Oh cards, I got what I needed what a fair price. Heck, the next time I'm in the area, I may go out of my way for a visit, and now that NYC covid protocols are loosened, maybe I can get some gaming on while there.
A chill store for sure, you won't be disappointed.

Great little hobbie so in town, friendly and helpful staff, great prices, and can't wait to do their paint night. Anyone doing miniatures or rewritable should give this place a look

Amazing owners that create a quality gaming experience for all. My fiancé travels an hour to visit. It’s important to have these safe spaces that create community, conversation and mutual respect; Serenity provides that.
