1850 Restaurant and Brewery

My husband and I had a great dinner here and enjoyed being able to bring our dog out on the patio. I had a steak salad and it was very very good and had a local sierra cider. My husband had a burger and garlic fries which was also very tasty!

Found ourselves here while staying in Mariposa. We're self proclaimed brewery buffs, and 1850 passed every one of our tests.

Good food, beers, atmosphere, staff, etc.

Definitely recommend.

On the way to Yosemite, I stopped this place again. Their food is still good and fresh. I will visit here again if i use ca-140.

5 star food in a casual atmosphere!

The food was soooo good! Last time I had food this good it was over $150/person! The surf and turf was a killer deal at $44/plate and the drinks and dessert were amazing!

Will definitely be coming back again!

This is a must-stop in Mariposa. Quality you can taste, amazing drinks and top notch service. What more can you ask for while visiting or traveling through to Yosemite?!?!

What a great place! The ambiance was so chill. My family of 4 could’ve shared 1 meal the portions are large but the quality of food is so great. We were highly satisfied and would definitely come back

We ordered Salmon Salad, Smoked Rib Eye, Bootjack Hamburger, Grilled Salmon, and two alcohol drinks for dinner with my family. The food was delicious, 10/10!
I wish we could visit here again in another time:)

Went here for my birthday and neither I nor my family were disappointed. My father loves a good drink of beer and for him this place was a real hit. I ordered a New York steak and it was probably the best cut of beef I had ever had, the sauce was immaculate. I’ve got to mention though that my sibling ordered their buffalo chicken wings and said they were better than the ones at family cookouts so, I think that sums it all up. Definitely would love to go back!

Beers are awesome… the blackberry sangria was very good too little bubbly … i love the flight choices! The fries are amazing with a beer cheese sauce! Great garlic flavor onion rings! Burger was better then the slider for flavor wise!!! A definite stop to grab bar bites

Our burgers and fries were done to perfection! The best ever! The service was everything it should be. The atmosphere was relaxed and though crowded, the noise level was muted. If all dining venues were like this one, we'd all be happier people. We will plan our dining events while in the Yosemite area to include 1850. Our dining in Yosemite was miserable and expensive.....to be avoided at all costs.

We stopped for dinner at 1850 on the way to our hotel in Oakhurst before a visit to Yosemite. Non-fast-food options with a dog in tow were limited, but consider us lucky to have stumbled across this place. What a gem! Although a little incredulous at our request to sit on the patio—it was a very cold December night—the staff was so accommodating. They got the outdoor heaters fired up, and provided exceptional service to us even though it meant they would be in & out of the cold as well. I got the tri tip, and my boyfriend got a burger. The food was great, although (thanks to Mother Nature) things didn’t stay warm very long. Mariposa is full of twinkle lights this time of year… it was quiet, not many people out, but just magical. We are so very thankful for their hospitality to two tourists & their pup on a cold winters night!

I've been super curious about this place for a long time and finally decided to check it out. Today I have found a new favorite. I got there right before they transitioned to dinner and couldn't decide what I wanted lol. I told the bartender to surprise me 🤣🤣 and she did! On yeah you seat your self and order from the bar lol. I ended up getting the Pub house steak sandwich with sweetpotato fries and it was AMAZING!!! My son ordered off the kids and he got buttered noodles and he was also happy with his meal. They had plenty of parking, we sat outside because it was a nice day, the ambiance was perfect and the service was on point. If your ever in Mariposa I highly recommend 1850. And thanks to the bartender for picking out a great meal for me :)

We made a special trip to try a burger and beer at 1850. It did not disappoint.

The beer was cold, crisp and very good. We both had an IPA, I had the hazy Misty Trail.

The burgers were juicy, and had the right amount of toppings and flavors - I really enjoyed the Bootjack. The fries were good and complimented the burger well.

The atmosphere, the decorations, the attention to small details, and the staff all made for a very nice experience. Don’t let the outside fool you.

Great place to eat and relax with friends and family after a day's hike in Yosemite! Great beer flight pairing. Plenty of seating available inside or outside. Friendly and courteous staff willing to share best dish recommendations in-house. Parking on premises. Highly recommended

Traveling to Yosemite, my wife and I stopped in Mariposa for the night. We decided to eat here and what a great choice that was.
We are self-proclaimed "food connoisseur's" and have eaten coast to coast and abroad. The food here was amazing! We had the steak with mashed potatoes and the fried chicken with mashed potatoes. I'm not sure what they do to the potatoes, but they are the best! The steak was perfect and the chicken, WOW, hot and juicy. (we always share). The salad was very good as well. In addition, the blueberry ginger beer mocktail was quite amazing. Last but not least, Our servers were amazing, very helpful and work together as a team to ensure prompt service.

Great food and drink as always. Paired the Ahi nachos with the rice lager. Fried chicken with wasabi dipping sauce was great. NY steak with bourbon-balsamic glaze was a bit peppery. Right now there are no reservations online or by email. You can try to call & leave a message, but they just opened up for limited indoor dining as well. 30 minute wait at 7 p.m. on a Saturday night was not bad. We walked across the street to see some mining artifacts and then came back and ordered some wine while we waited. Very nice staff!

Warm welcome & cheerful waiter. Best meal in days! All fresh veggies. LOVED the cranberry dressing. My partner went for the delicous & tender steak salad. And being belgian we were delighted to see Hoegaarden on the drinks menu 😁. A well deserved 5⭐

What a wonderful post-hike recovery. About 10-12 drafts to choose from and great apps. We ordered the Finney Fries (topped with steak, garlic, and parmesan cheese) and the mac and cheese. The fries were crispy until the end, with great flavor from the garlic. The mac was cheesy and came in a skillet. To top off our already healthy meal, we also ordered the chocolate cake for dessert. Because...why not? It is a smaller place, so I imagine there would be a wait at popular times. Unique atmosphere and friendly service!
