It was very well stocked. Best one around the area. Good spot to hit before Yosemite!

Home town feel. Service from friendly people you see everyday and or have known your whole life. Good prices on food even compared to the big city stores. Always clean, always smells good. Always more cashiers working than any other store.

Excellent sushi coutesty of Angela!!! Very fresh and I eat sushi on the coast also.

This grocery store was honestly really good. I wasn't sure what to expect with a store called Pioneer Market, but they had all the essentials and more. We got everything we needed, no problem. Reasonably priced too.

It would be easy for a grocery store to only have the necessities for a small community like Mariposa, so you'll be happy to know, Pioneer Market is much more than that. It's not huge, but it's still bigger than you might expect. Very good produce, decent sized meat area, bakery, deli and everything else you can hope for. Keep in mind that this isn't a high end store, but it's much more than what you might expect in a small community. Mariposa is very lucky to have a place like this. Too bad Oakhurst doesn't have one.

As a couple of tourists from Australia I would like to pass on my thanks to the lovely check out attendant who served us this evening. I believe his name was Gordon. He was extremely friendly and welcoming. Made our night! Hope he is appreciated for being the fantastic employee that he is!

I'm a cashier at this market and it is awesome! Prices are a little higher since we're the only grocery in town but not unreasonable. We have a little bit of everything, from produce to meat counter, deli, bakery, and pharmacy. We even sell shoe laces!
Sales are applied without any signups with us. We offer a loyalty card with a rewards program that offers discount prices at Grizzly Gas and Chevron in town. Seniors get a 5% discount on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Some people say the place is too cold but it's definitely nice in the summer.
We try to be helpful and friendly and we're certainly entertaining! Come check it out; great place.

Excellent store where you can find good quality fresh produce.

Enjoyed both of our visits during a weeklong stay for Yosemite. Good selections. A bit overpriced but to be expected. Bought stuff for breakfasts and sandwiches and a steak dinner.

A hidden gem! This large grocery store in the small town of Mariposa was a welcome site before we headed into Yosemite National Park. Very clean and a great selection of a typical grocery store. Great produce and meat department and their beer and wine selection was a welcome sight. Typical layout of a store in a large city. Very pleased with the friendly staff and pricing of goods was cheap considering they are the only large grocery store for miles around.

A surprisingly well stocked market with a good selection of high quality groceries. Staff is polite and friendly. Great liquor and wine selection. Truly a hidden gem in the mountains.

Really appreciated the late opening especially on the Sunday as we only arrived in the area late, but was able to get a great steak, loads of drinks etc with friendly staff. Thanks, it was really appreciated. We went on the fresh cut steak with the recommendation, strongly suggest this 👍

Staff always friendly and always has what I need

The store is clean and well stock and the folks are friendly and get to know their customers. They like to randomly get on the PA system and greet to folks by their name. I recommend it. Also customers are friendly and courteous, everything you expect from a community store.

So I'm all for supporting local businesses, however I believe that he could offer us a price break in return considering it's no longer as though he's a small town business struggling to make it every month. The DraStic price differences between rite aid and pioneer unfortunately make it quite tempting to shop at rite aid rather than going to pioneer. Just an idea.

Lots of variety of items that I normally purchase. Produce section well-stocked and fresh. And friendly staff always willing to help. Please remember on Thursday is seniors day 5% discount for seniors makes a good deal even better.
