Prodigal Son’s Coffee House & Eatery

This is seriously the best lunch I've gotten in Craig, and I've been in the area for 10 years! The food is fantastic and the owners are super friendly. There's always a clean table to sit, and I love that they have a few games laying around for people to play. I took my husband here to show him the place, and we ended up spending our lunch eating and playing Scrabble.

Love everything about this place. Decoration, coffee, food, snack, desert, services, and great for working as well.
Ice latte (i called it ice cappucino) and cinnamon roll here is 10 stars!

Recomended place for sure sure sure sure if you are in town. .

Very good coffee and breakfast options. I was in Craig for 2 days. 1. I love the coffee, smooth and nice flavor.
2. Open early for those of us that hit the road early.
3. Breakfast options are very good, taste good and good portion size.
4. Atmosphere is very nice and friendly. Thank you.

The vibrant gentleman on the coffee bar who I presume is the owner is so bubbly and kind. He greated every local customer by name. The entire place is full of happy vibes. The brioche french toast was delicious and my dirty chai was a perfect balance of coffee and tea sweetness. Perfect stop we needed on our long drive home from Yellowstone.

Awesome lunch stop that I hit every time I roll thru town. Great coffee, fun atmosphere, creative lunch menu, and the owner is a blast to chat with if you catch him in a slower period. Also, MAYBE the only functionally fast Wi-Fi within 50 miles!

Best coffee shop on the planet. Stopped while passing through on a road trip and had a breakfast sandwich that literally changed my life 😎. While sitting outside with Van, enjoying my food and coffees, the “Prodigal Son” who was working in the shop that morning, came out to say hi. Customer service like this is rare in the world today. This place is a “Destination Coffee Shop” in my book.

Moving from Colorado springs, this is what I've been looking for, a local coffee shop. Come here and you will not be disappointed! Inviting atmosphere, excellent attitude from the employees and helpful to answer questions.

Great place to stop at whether you're just passing through or a permanent resident.

We stopped on our drive through town. Good place. My latte was really good. Tried the homemade poptart as well. It was good though a little messy to eat in the car. Looked like a good place to sit and work or just enjoy coffee and breakfast. The owner was kind and welcoming.

Great stop in Craig! Easy to tell it is a favourite in town the way the owners greet everyone. Hugs are exchanged, patrons all laugh with each other and all were welcoming to this "outsider".

My gluten free was fantastic, my latte was worth a second one for the road!

Stopped in to get some beans for the Aero press. Went with their French Roast which is brewing up nice. Friendly staff and clean establishment

This is a really great coffee shop. Well made latte and espresso and tasty food (I had quiche). Friendly staff. Overall a great stop on the road between Salt Lake City and Steamboat Springs.

Absolutely love this place! Stop here every time we pass through Craig. Their quiche is always delicious and be sure to get the house made salsa with it. I'd tell you the home made pop tarts are amazing, but then they might sell out faster than they already do... :-(

I travel on road trips around the western states and always looking for good coffee shops. Prodigal Son's is one of the best ones I have ever been to. Craig is lucky to have this place in town. They open at 5:30am which is great if you want an early start. They have unique coffee's and they explained the coffee in an easy way to understand and enjoy. They made me feel very welcome and found out it is family owned. They have one of the best quiche I have never had. I found out the crust and everything is homemade. It is very hard now a days to find great comfort food and healthy food on the road. It is a great place to check your emails, read a book and rest on a road trip and they make you feel like your in your home town. Thank you Prodigal Son for creating the love in your coffee shop. I was in town for a work training and someone suggested I try the food and coffee here, was not disappointed! Owner spent time asking what I typically like so he could make relevant coffee recommendations, I had the butter beer latte and it was delicious! As well as their chicken sandwich, you can tell all their ingredients are extremely fresh! If I’m ever back in Craig I will definitely be back 😊
