Arrived on a Thursday right when they opened. First time here, but we'll be back. Squeaky clean and lots of funky signs. We ordered a green Hatch chili omelet with hash browns and pancake and a hot dog with fries. The food came out quick and hot and was top-notch. The French fries were homemade and some of the best we've ever had. The service was excellent. Prices are a little high, but I guess they are high everywhere now.

Wowwww ooo wooowwweee. First time @ Rock City today and I think it’s, absolutely one of the top tier breakfast joints in COS if not the best. The country fried steak was excellent. They make real gravy that is 10/10. I’m from the south so I’m mostly disappointed with gravy options around here but theirs is FIIIRE. Hash browns perfectly crispy. Good thick slices of bacon and eggs were perfect. You gotta go!!!!

Fun little cafe. 👍 From the funny signs on the wall to the friendly people, it's a cute place to grab breakfast. It reminded me of a modern day "hole in the wall." It's clean, comfortable, basic, and has some really good food.
The smothered green chili burrito passes the "native Coloradan test." I've eaten my fair share of green chili, and this place has a great recipe. The prices were also very fair for the times.
It's a little obvious they are short-staffed, but here's the thing: I didn't care. Why not?? Because the two guys who were working, hustled like no other. 🙌 If I see someone taking orders, cleaning up, greeting customers, topping off coffee, AND they have a smile on their face, I will never complain. I'd come back to this place simply because of their work ethic. The great food is a bonus.

I like this little beanery. This was my third Sunday here for breakfast and I sat at the counter rather tie up a table for one person. At the counter your coffee mug is never empty. The service is slow on Sunday morning but the piping hot breakfast is worth the wait!

Rock City Cafe is the go-to breakfast restaurant for my family! Service is phenomenal, the staff are wonderful, and the food is AMAZING! everything is made fresh and delicious. We love the lunch, too! The fries are the best in town and their burgers are drowl-worthy, with yummy salads and sandwiches, you can't go wrong! Run, don't walk! 10/10!

This has become "The Move" for a delightful breakfast with my family and friends. The numbers on the receipt could be better. But all and all great! I do recommend to anyone.

Great 1st visit! Food was flavorful, freshly made & delivered hot to the table! Only 1 waitress & 1 cook but they kept up. Relaxed atmosphere, clean & comfortable furnishings.
We had a chef salad which was truly an entree size & great mix of ingredients that were fresh. Another had a club sandwich that was 3 layers STACKED FULL of turkey, ham & bacon. The fries looked home made, smaller than steak fries but bigger than straw fries. They were not greasy or over cooked. I had a grilled cheese & turkey sandwich. They happily traded out a side of fries for fresh fruit. The fresh fruit was all in-season berries, chilled & plenty of them. Grilled cheese was tasty & done to a nice crisp but not over done. We watched other orders go by in this 8 booth/table top cafe, all were sizable meals & looked delicious enough to make me consider changing my order!
Prices are reasonable. The cafe was not full at any given time when we were there but instead it was a gentle stream for Sunday customers. They are open for breakfast & lunch from 7:30 AM until 2PM. Don’t go on a Wednesday, they are closed. We saw they have curbside pickup & website says delivery too! They are in the 1800 block of N. Academy Blvd & share a parking lot w/ the Hot Tub shop (SE corner of Dominion & Academy).
This was a wonderful neighborhood cafe that we just spontaneously chose due to its closeness. They were kind & patient with my disabled adult brother We will be back to Rock City Cafe due to great service, reasonable pricing & absolutely good hot meals! Strongly encourage others to try it!

Very good breakfast. I really enjoyed the chill environment and the way feature local businesses on their tables. It was done very classy and shows they support local businesses. Service was very good also. I had the corned beef hash and I tried a side order of the biscuits and gravy. My meal was very tasty and I will definitely be back.

Amazing cafe! My daughter and I wanted to try something new and found this restaurant. Amazing service and great decor. Also, the food was very good and reasonably priced. I love they served breakfast all day. My reuben sandwich was excellent and my daughter loved her country fried steak.
We will be back again with the entire family!

After having a short day at work, my wife and I had some free time to enjoy a local food restaurant for brunch. We decided on Red Rock Cafe because we both were having a craving for biscuits and gravy.

After making the short drive and walking into the restaurant, we were delighted to see the cozy nature of their establishment. We were seated quickly and our server was very attentive. She was spunky and her positive energy was definitely well received!

The cool thing about this place is that they serve both breakfast and lunch ALL DAY. Talk about endless amount of options!

Now for the food! We each didn’t have any food for around 16 hours. We were starving after working out in the morning and doing a little bit of work!

We started off by ordering the biscuits and gravy. Then I ordered the Cowboy Burger with no cheese or tomato and upgraded my side to the onion rings. Additionally, I ordered a side of hash browns as well. The wife ordered a highly customizable breakfast burrito.

First thing is first, everything came out hot and the serving size is definitely plentiful for all options! Also everything was 100% correct with the order, you just can’t beat that!

Now the taste, the biscuits and gravy are definitely the dish that stood out the most. It’s no wonder why this is a staple for Colorado Springs locals. The rich gravy complemented the sturdy yet soft biscuit perfectly. It’s very hard to get the perfect consistency on biscuits and gravy but The Rock Cafe did it!

Now the breakfast burrito was talked very highly about - especially the amount of fixings you get inside. Great value.

I was genuinely surprised by my side of hash browns. Great exterior crunch with a wonderful taste.

Now the burger was my favorite thing here! This savory burger had a great compliment of bacon and bbq sauce to really take this up a notch. They gave me a generous serving size of onion rings for the cost and they didn’t skimp out on taste! The light brown crunchy exterior was not too oily or overbearing. Again genuinely shocked at how much I loved the onion rings.

Overall this place is a grand slam for brunch. This was my first time in and we both walked out satisfied with the entire experience. Needless to say, we will be back sooner rather than later!

Cute place off N Academy. Very Colorado, yet understated. Breakfast & lunch menu. The chicken Caesar wrap was amazing! Our server was probably the only one working, but she was SO attentive & nice. I'm definitely going back.

This place is a massive step up from typical diner food. Potatoes are fresh and crispy, homemade green chili and gravy, freshly made hash browns, and I ordered my eggs sunny side up and they came out perfecfly (not too runny). Definitely worth supporting, we need more places like this. Oh, portions are huge too!

Great service. Been here for a while and now I wish we came in sooner. The burger was great, fries perfectly cooked and fresh cut not frozen. The hot dogs are uniquely delicious. Prices reasonable, three ate for just north of $20.

Great breakfast! Food, service and atmosphere perfect.
Loved how the breakfast wasn't way salty or greasy. I can add my own salt, and butter my own toast. Thank you!!
Generous portions and spotless dining area, kitchen and restrooms.
