Ranchers Steakhouse & Buffet

This was my first visit. I enjoyed my meal immensely. The meatloaf was very good, almost like my moms ( although hers is a but more spic more salt made it moreso. Service was excellent, we were regularly checked on, and offers for additional plates or more to to drink were never withheld. The saladbar was well stocked, everything was fresh and crisp. My only recommendation would be to chop the onions and bell peppers into tiny cubes vs the rounds.
I had a couple chocolate chip cookies to finish. They were awesome!!
The was all the better because the bill was not mine. Thank you Gil!!

Wonderful restaurant buffet! Such polite, friendly, and helpful crew members, too. You feel right at home at this place!

Its like a family get together no matter when I decide to come in. The girls behind the counter are so sweet, you are NEVER neglected if Ms Penny is on shift. The whole staff needs a raise, if all you want to do is complain then go eat elsewhere. If you want a family friendly environment then come here!

They made exception for my mom a thanksgiving plate to go so I could go enjoy thanksgiving at her nursing home.

I loved the food! Homemade wonderful food. Don't believe all the other BS reviews left by cheapscates who couldn't even leave a decent tip for the hardworking people.
This place has been around more than 30 years. There will always be dirt and flies around GOOD FOOD becuz it takes hard work to make it!!

We had tried several places to eat while we were in Hobbs and this by far was the best. Customer service what awesome and Penny, our waitress was amazing. The food was hot and extremely tasty. We would highly recommend this place to eat.

Food is always delicious and their honey butter with the rolls is to die for, this place has a homey feeling and great service. They have a good selection on their buffet most of the time and the salads are delectable. I would recommend this place for families, friends, dates, or even casually going out to eat. Dress up or down, it wouldn't matter you'll always fit in.

It's decent for a buffet. I dig their old school, Sizzler-esque salad bar. And the people working there are SUPER nice. One of the few businesses in town that knows what "customer service" is. I highly recommend ordering off the menu, too. I had a steak sandwich there a few weeks ago that was legit one of the best I've ever eaten in my life. Yes, in HOBBS, NEW MEXICO??!?!??

Really good food at a really good price! Our waitress was just the sweetest lady ever! Throw in the bread and dessert bar and give got the best little restaurant in Hobbs! Im already looking forward to my next trip!

We had a group of 16. One lady did e everything. She greeted us, she pushed tables together to make room for our group, she took our orders, she filled and refilled our drinks, she took our money when we paid, she cleaned up the tables. Good gosh! Get the poor woman some help.

Great home style cooked foods. Delish Cat fish, fresh rolls, and cobbler etc.If your hungry buffet is endless.lots of items to choose from plus off the the buffet menu. Not to mention largest steaks and chicken fried steaks in Texas.Triple 5 star ⭐ dinner rolls. Clean environment. Don’t knock it, til you try it!

My husband and I go eat here or carry outs. Always have a great experience, food always good, which ever waiteress waits on us. Very friendly and smiling always.

Wonderful all around eating experience, the restrooms could use some attention. But still well worth going. If you have dietary needs let them know and they will work with you 100% as much as they can. Great place!

Been coming here since I was a kid. It's not first class fancy steak house, but the food is good and usually made in house. Can't beat the butter. Staff has always been super friendly.

I ordered the filet mignon and it was very good. The buffet was fresh.

Extremely wonderful restaurant. Ranchers had the largest and best salad bar in town. If you love salads this is the place to go. They also have an extremely large buffet. Fresh baked bread and a very nice dessert bar. You an also order steaks and other goodies from the menu. Very friendly employee's and very clean restaurant.

My family loves eating here. The food is always delicious. I normally can't get more than one plate and a dessert. It really feels your appetite.
