It's a great place to talk to a professional in emocional conflict. It has a 24 hour bot line attended out of state but they will stay with you until you get help. Now if you need fisical or one on one attention there is on call personal available for Lea County (Lovington and Hobbs). It's a great place!

From the beginning of my service with Guidance Center I was treated with respect and nonjudgmental professionalism. I was homeless and didn't know how to obtain any direction in which to go for mental health and extra support services which was excellent in their ability to help another person in need. I am very thankful for their consideration and help getting my life back together. They are an excellent group at CareLink, in particular Mrs. Toni Blea. I suggest if you need mental health assistance they are always there to help. God Bless

Hello just wanted to say that the guidance center is a good place to get help especially in the department of CareLink services because of the peer support system they have which they didn’t have back then ,now that they have it I have had a really great experience with Jessica Navarro she has helped me out in so many ways in my life with my mental health issues that I have she is really great at what she does. She was there when my brother recently passed away she helped me get through it she was there at the funeral for support I really appreciate having her as my peer support. She is an amazing person that I can talk to when I’m feeling down . I have seen a lot of changes in myself since I’ve been meeting with her and I really don’t know what I would do without her. She is really a great an amazing Human being. 😀

When I first came to the guidance center I was lost and reeling. I was basically homeless, with no direction of where to go or what to do. I was assigned a peer support worker, Jessica Navarro. She hasn't just been my peer support, she's been a friend, counselor. I recently received the keys to my own home, and am about to start a new job. My children and I have a home and a bright future. I don't know where I'd be without the help and support I've received from God, Jessica, and the guidance center center as a whole.

We attended their Halloween Carnival and they had a costume contest and the most adorable and creative trophies to give it to the winners and my son who was a firefighter wearing a homemade firetruck, won the most creative costume and got the cutest trophy 🏆
They're so AWESOME! All of the activities were free for the kids and it was all so nice and well arranged for the kiddos..

The Guidance Center is a wonderful resource for mental health and counseling services. They offer an array of support services to our county. I personally went there in 2017 for counseling. The Guidance Center helped me. Whether its family estrangement, loss of a loved one, a mental illness, addiction, abuse/trauma- you can receive help here. Don't hesitate to call them.

Excellent center for not only mental illness but addiction. Got me stabilized instead of pills with ups and downs.

I brought my daughter in when she asked for help. They saw her that day and set her up with a social worker of sorts. This person promised to be there for her and help her learn how to cope. She saw her three times, randomly, and never took the time to actually get to know her to help her. The counselor they got her with, six weeks after her first visit, for a 30 minute zoom call. She asked her over and over how she felt and if she felt like hurting herself. There was no actual therapy. The last time she had an appointment, they called my 14 year old on her phone at school, something she was uncomfortable with. So I called to get her appointment info and they told me I was not allowed to know anything because she's old enough to make her own decisions. 14!? Now we are a year later and she is worse than before and no one seems to care because she hasn't actually hurt herself yet. Horrible.

I was a patient of Dr. Monteverde's for quite some time and he retired come end of June this year. I realize that people have to retire and he will be sorely missed. He was the best part of the guidance center. I struggle with major depressive disorder and it has been a real battle. Battles with mental health are very real however they are subjective also. I have been treated pretty well by the staff but I have also met some negativity by other staff members. TBH I feel that the staff collectively needs to meet the vision that the founders had in place as some members would have been better off to stay home or look for a job that fits them better. Patients, better than anyone else, can tell if the staff does or does not g.a.f. You're not dealing with idiots. You are dealing with people that genuinely need help. It is unfortunate that there is no competition in place that genuinely cares about their patients in a way that the patient can pick up on. For this reason, I give you a two star rating.

They have reschedule my loved one twice. They are unable to notify anyone ahead of time. My loved one showed up and was told the counselor was “not in”. He wasted his time, effort , and drove from out of town only to be “no showed” by the provider for the second time this year. These patients work up courage to come change their lives and the environment at the Hobbs location is not conducive to positive change. Patients are better off schedule a zoom appt with an out of town provider rather than wasting their time getting rescheduled at the last minute. Not impressed

absolutely apathic staff does not care about you at all. Called for information, was met with sigh after sigh and a receptionist that clearly does not care about patients or her job. If your dealing with mental health you shouldn't make people feel like their a burden.

This place will only help you if you're struggling with addiction. Once you're in recovery, they could care less about your mental health. You ask for help multiple times and get none. It's ok though, help has been found elsewhere and treatment is finally being given where it was so desperately needed before. Way to go on failing someone in need!

They just give out meds and don’t actually help with trauma. And as a minor I was treated as if my problems were fictional or caused by my “ gosh darn phone. “ don’t recommend

Wrong place to go. They give out medicine and don’t know what they are doing
