Came to visit my brother and learned that he hadn’t used his reel/rod since his wife bought it. (And his place is right on the Ocean!) I stopped and met Pete and his nephew Jackson. Wow. I was coached (not sold) and got exactly what I needed in less than 5 minutes. It was worth the 15 minute ride! Thx guys!!! I’ll be back.

Pete Belsan and his team have fresh bait, a great assortment of plugs and lots of fishing knowledge. I am in this shop a lot during the season. Some bait shops can make you feel awkward asking questions, not Pete. He loves talking about fishing and sharing his insight and love of the sport.

Guys working here All know their stuff. Wouldn't sell me gear u didn't need. Only what was necessary. Very honest and knowledgeable

Good selection of bait as well as fishing supplies. Since Grumpy's closed, Belsan is the go-to spot for Scituate Harbor and the North and South Rivers area.
