Scituate Lighthouse

This is a nice lighthouse. I went here while visiting Massachusetts and was satisfied with my experience. This lighthouse is a tall, skinny white lighthouse located at the end of a suburban housing development. This lighthouse has an attached light keeper’s house, but it isn’t open to the public. There’s a rocky beach by here that you can throw rocks from, and there are several large boulders you can scramble on as well. I gave this lighthouse five stars because it has a nice beach.

As of 2023, Scituate Light has been undergoing restoration to its lateen room. In early November they are finishing copper plating the structure and plan to Mount the light back onto the tower soon.

It’s a nice spot to hang out, get a look at the sea. You can walk out to the end of the jetty in front of the light if you want some exercise.

This a a nice tranquil place to relax and think about whatever! Or to just sit and meditate. Open to the public plenty of parking

If you’re looking to have rocky side views into the ocean, then this is the place to be. The lighthouse is small and cute. There are jetties you can walk out to as well.

Parking: Plenty of parking can be found here as they have a lot with plenty of spaces.

beautiful location. beautiful historical lighthouse. parking is easy in a lot right near the lighthouse. the house next to the lighthouse is private property but you can walk right down the path right up to the lighthouse! you can also walk on the jetty pretty far! while we were there we saw an incredible rainbow. highly recommend this spot for a great view.

Lovely lighthouse and oceanscape. I was with my girlfriend and dog, we brought couple of chairs and try to meditate on the rocks near lighthouse, but it was unsuccessful. Some folks with no ethics sat 5 feet behind us and loudly talked. They did not enjoy the view because we sat in front of them and they did not give us chance to have 30 minutes of tranquility. Very disrespectful human beings.

We went before the sunset. It was so beautiful.

Oceanside is always a magical feeling for me. Add the lighthouse and the energy of history, it becomes quite sacred. Refreshing views and great for family and friends.

Beautiful location breeze was nice. Lots of fun walking on the rocks. Only downside is no public bathrooms so go before you go.

So many lighthouses are owned by the military so you can't get close or owned by private citizens and off limits to the public-- I love that this one is open to all, has plenty of parking, and is just such a unique shape! We're lucky to have it here.

Lovely little town by the sea featuring a historical lighthouse. There’s lots of parking space by the lighthouse but no public restroom.

One of my favorite places!! I used to come here all the time before I moved out of state so it was on my list of places to go when I came back for a visit. Free parking and great views.

The Scituate Lighthouse is such a beautiful area at night. Come here if you like Astrophotography or like to look at the stars! Such a peaceful place at night!

Its simply amazing. Once you are there you would realize this. Surrounded by ocean from 3 sides. Just amazing. I have been there several times and never feel like- this is it. Every opportunity to go there is a welcome opportunity. If you are a fan of sunrise 🌄 and sunsets 🌅, you must pay couple of visits at least for these two precious moments of everyday. Just note that during different time of year the point of sunrise , sunset view changes; so some time you may not get both views from same spot but I can guarantee for breathtaking views in and around this lighthouse

Parking lot isn't huge but it can accommodate a bus. The history with the lighthouse is great! The location is clean and well kept and a nice place to visit. A sunset over the harbor is pretty.

Wonderful place with a historical lighthouse to enjoy. Parking lot is small but free and the views of the lighthouse, the ocean and the breakwater are amazing. It is indeed a great photo location, especially for the sunrise.

Pretty historic lighthouse along the coast. Worth a visit if around the area. Two nice jetties to walk out on too! You can see Minot light house from them and watch the boats come and go out of the harbor

It's so beautiful & peaceful there. Grounds are clean & well maintained. Make sure you wear sneakers as it may be difficult to walk on the giant rocks to get to the end of the jetty.

Neat spot. Rocks, lighthouse, water. Cool info on signs/banner around the house. Can watch boats enter and exit the marina. Solid ground to walk around, rock path/surrounding other areas down to the water.

Great view. Cool historical markers. Easy salt water fishing. Treacherous climb to top of a platform at the jetty.
