Had lunch here and the food was prepared so quickly! The service was outstanding and my shrimp wrap was so delicious. I also had some of the best fried okra ever. I highly recommend!

The service was great and timely and I loved country fried steak!! All food was hot and fresh and fries were nice and crispy!!

The Hunts own the Cafe and personally greeted us, and quickly served us coffee for our break. My husband enjoyed warm apple pie a la mode. I enjoyed warm lemon pound cake with delicious frosting. Thank you for a delightful visit 😊

Eat here at least 2 times a week. The food is fantastic. Never have gotten any thing that was not good. Cannot beat the lunch menu.and the burgers are the best in Amherst and Madison Heights,very fresh and yummy there is no better place to eat at and the hospitality wow you feel like you are eating with family.why would you want to go to Mc.Donalds when you can go 30 seconds more and have an amazing meal.and believe me if you leave hungry, then that's on you. Carolyn the waitress is such a sweetheart just love her.and The owner Dennis Hunt,is an awesome person and can cook out of this world. Lisa and Mike Thomas

Another hidden gem that mostly the locals know about. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area. We stopped for a quick supper.
I had a shrimp salad wrap. It was huge and I would reorder in a heartbeat. Hubby had a BLTWrap son had a BLT sandwich combo. There was a much more extensive menu for all meals.
For the three of us was under $30.00. Would definitely come again.

Wish there would have been a parking spot or two that would have accommodated our truck and camper, would have gone again but couldn’t find a place to park.

My family and I ate at the Dogwood Cafe today just when the doors were opening today at 11am. Our waitress Diamond was excellent. She had a gentle spirit. The owner Dennis later told us she was a new waitress. We tipped her 25% because she made us feel like royalty. My seafood platter was more fried food than I’ve eaten in a long time; however, I left nothing on my plate. It tasted too good. It is Sunday!

Great casual restaurant. Food was good, interior updated and comfortable, staff friendly.

Wonderful home cooking. I had the fried cod, which was flaky and crisp and not at all greasy even after what I took home gone cold. I love onion rings but find it very hard to get them where they are not either greasy or soggy. These were neither. Also the entire staff is so friendly. I have never been there before and they treated me like an old friend they had not seen in a long time.

Food, Service, and Atmosphere ALL excellent! Carolyn is Wonderful! She always goes the extra mile to make sure every guest is well cared for!

Great home-cooked style food reasonably priced. My wife got the honey stung fried chicken and I got their fried chicken breast salad (we were in a fried chicken mood) to go and everything was top notch. Try their hamburger steak with gravy and onions, too. Comfort food at its best! Thanks Dogwood Cafe! You're the best!

Fast, fresh, and delicious! I work next door, and know that if I order from Dogwood during my fifteen minute break, I can get my food, and still have 12 minutes to eat it. ❤

Very friendly staff. Cafe is scrupulously clean and attractively decorated. Our crispy chicken salad and sandwich were both tasty and the service was really fast. Prices were very reasonable. We will be back next time we are driving through.

The food is unbearably delicious. Especially the onion rings! The waiters/waitresses are super sweet and give great service. Food is cooked quickly and it is a perfect environment to eat with friends, family, or even alone. It is also very clean.
