Best oysters I've ever eaten, everyone enjoying a beer and great sea food..Think it was $15 dozen raw...smoked oysters were amazing. Opens at 11:30. Enjoy the outdoor seating...

This place was great. The tables outside were next to the dock and offered nice views of the river. The food was always fresh and delicious, and the service was excellent. It remains to be seen whether Boss Oyster will ever open again, but I hope it does and will visit again.

Best oysters around! Apalachicola has tons of oyster bars but Boss is by far the best. Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was chill and had a great "local" feel about it. Captain Jack's oysters were the bomb!!

Home of the best plate of oysters I’ve had in my life. Boss catches, cleans and prepares their own using their dedicated charter boat parked a mere feet from your table. Thrilled with this place and will be back when traveling along the coast again.

Toni took great care of us. Delicious grilled fish and raw oysters. Hole in the wall, rugged and we will be back.

Loved eating out by the water. Table was a bit wobbly but we didn't mind. I was afraid to try the oysters but my husband ordered some baked ones and they were wonderful. The large shrimp was so fresh. You can really tell the difference . The shrimp boats were right next to us, dropping their nets!

Fresh seafood, great prices. This place is a hidden gem on the coast. The outside is a little iffy but don’t let that keep your from going in! The oysters were amazing and came right out of the water right underneath the restaurant. We had fried fish and shrimp and it was piping hot. The grits weren’t my taste but everything else was great, including the southern hospitality. Can’t wait to go back!

This was our first visit to Apalachicola in many years. We chose this restaurant because we had our dog with us and they welcomed her. So glad we did! The food was great and very plentiful (scallop and flounder baskets) and the service was very good. We enjoyed the view of the docks and boats.

This place is hard to notice from the street, and seems like a small hole in the wall. But, once you enter the restaurant entrance area, it's a really cool place. There's seating indoors and outside on the deck, which is practically a foot above the river water. The oysters are the star of the menu, obviously, and they're delicious. They were a little more expensive than other places ($10 for half dozen vs 15 for a dozen) but they were the best oysters we've had in Apalachicola, so they were worth it. They had a good selection of domestic and import beer, as well as specialty cocktails. The rest of the menu was pretty standard, but I'll admit I didn't scrutinize it since I was there for the oysters. Highly recommend making this part of your Apalachicola trip.

People who complain about the little things, need to get a grip on reality. This place is amazing! The oysters are the best I have ever had! I have eaten oysters my whole life and no where else comes close. I have never had a problem with the service. We love this place we make a stop out of our way from Jacksonville to Panama City to eat here. Try the oyster shooters too! You won't regret it!

Outstanding char-grilled oysters! We come here primarily for the grilled oysters, but the soft shell crabs are great, as well as the shrimp. The service is hit or miss, and the sides are not 'great', but the grilled oysters are fantastic. The 2 of us can put down a dozen in short-order, and we usually have more than one.

Delicious oysters, any way you can imagine (and then some). We had the chargrilled ousters on the halfshell, with butter and Parmesan cheese. Wonderful smokiness and still moist and plump. Excellent way to go! We've been here twice now, and the service has always been outstanding. I have no idea what the negative reviewers were talking about, based on our two visits. We'll be back!

Our absolute go to when visiting cape San blas and port saint joe. The atmosphere here is great! The staff are always friendly and amazing. The food is always on point. Not fancy, just feel good vibes all the way through. We love the oysters, it has become our ritual!

😋 Delicious. Only complaint was that it was too cold to sit outside.

Our food was delicious. The oysters were very fresh and cooked perfectly. Our waitress was friendly. The service was a little slow, but not enough to take away from the quality.

Our server Chandler was extremely kind and helpful. The shrimp baskets and fried pickles were very good. I'm glad we were able to stop in for dinner.

I am a local and picked Boss Oyster to take out of town friends out to dinner. I had always found BO to provide good food. However, at this visit my husband and I were embarrassed at the food provided. The food was definitely not food previously served.

Boss Oyster is great indoor or outdoor dining that serves plentiful food. We booked a room for a family event, and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. Afterwards, you can stroll on the dock and talk to shrimpers while they offload.
