Cheapest gas in town... very friendly... not expensive...i wish they took EBT

Average gas prices in area are 2.36 a gallon. So was shocked to drive through Monticello Fl and see 2.59. Thinking surely if I drove a little further it’d be cheaper. Having passed the one station and Needing to get gas I hesitantly stopped at S&M Mart. Sign said regular gas 2.66 9/10 a gallon . The pump read 2.76 9/10 a gallon. I pumped 10.00 worth and decided to be on my way. However the pump would not print a receipt. I went inside to get a receipt and ask about the price discrepancy and before I could say anything the clerk said. “Let me guess, the difference in price has you feeling bad?” I explained the store across the street was 2.59 he said “I know”. That his sign advertised 2.66 however he charged 2.76. He said “yeah” and could care less. And would not give me a receipt. How rude and unethical. I will Be reporting this station to state authorities.

I asked the attendant if they had a restroom and was told that “it isn’t a rest stop, no public restrooms”. A simple “no” would have been more polite. The entire place is surrounded by trash and broken glass. Just keep going down the road or go back into town for a better place, it’s not worth the stop.

Their food is expired. I'm reporting to the health department. Bought a coffee drink and got a mouth full of chunky milk.
