I was visiting this place to support a softball team. #BigBend50
I used to live in Jefferson county but I haven't been to this place in about 12 years... Back then it was just a large track with a playground.

Boy was I shocked when I went today and saw that they have reduced the track and made about four or five softball fields! They had even put up a concession stand! I still could see people walking around the track but I don't think it was as big as it used to be I'm not sure on that part.

But I do know that the feeling I had when I arrived was the same. Everyone there was so friendly warm and welcoming.. the weather was perfect for the game.

I really enjoyed revisiting this old stomping ground of mine.. it was very refreshing to know that they have done some upgrading.

And the little kids park that they have hold so many memories of me and my children swinging on the swings all day laughing running around and playing... This is a great spot to go if you have children or if you want to enjoy some of the softball games or other games that they have going on.

They even have a basketball court. And I believe they have two different locations with bathrooms.

If you are looking for a place to take your family and barbecue something on the grill this spot is the place to go... You can barbecue on the grill and watch your kids play on the playground at the same time 🥰

I will definitely be back with my kids next time so we can reminisce about all the fun times we used to share at this special place ❤ if you haven't been here in a while this place is definitely worth checking out.

Great community park. Have grandchildren in Leon and Jefferson county. Enjoy this park more,especially the concession stand. Very good food and reasonable prices.

This recreation center is a very nice facility and very well placed for bicyclist to park, use the facilities and pedal from. I’ve had a wonderful day. Coffee at The Tupelo pastry shop then a short downhill ride to the center. Thanks to those who make it possible.

The Jefferson County Rec park has a lot of great facilities for families enjoying the summer weather; there are several baseball fields, basketball courts, handball courts, tennis courts, and green space to picnic and play. The playground is a special favorite of the children as there are swings, slides, and other playground implements to play on.

What a great experience, it's quite basic, nothing fancy here! Old fashioned sand lot, respectful parents and coaches!
Bathrooms and small concession stand...it was alot of fun here!
