Lovely experience with a patient stylist. My 3 yr old niece needed some major TLC on her hair. Mo was extremely patient and treated her like family. Made recommendations for care and products that I desperately needed. Thanks so much again Mo! (My niece was happy despite what the picture depicts 🤣)

This was my first experience at this salon and I will definitely be making Treasuring Tresses a regular part of my hair care routine. It was peaceful, clean and Monique was very friendly and professional. Not to mention very knowledgeable and just so good at her job. My locs not only came out the desired color, but it feels very soft and healthy. Thank you so much!

If you like having healthy hair and becoming more knowledgeable about taking care of your hair, this is the place for you. A part of me wants to hog her for myself to ensure I can get my appointment in every month BUT I can’t do that to Monique because her gift should be shared with all. God has truly blessed her hands to create beautiful styles and help hair become healthy, among other things. Every time I come from getting my hair done, people ask me where I got it done and I get many compliments. I’m back! And with a new hairstyle. While I love styling the fro it was a little too high maintenance for my lifestyle because let’s be honest…life be lifeing so when I decided to loc up, I knew I had to go back to my girl Mo if I wanted a great outcome and boy am I happy I did. I had been researching microlocs and I reached out to Mo to ask questions as I knew it was a commitment. I started my loc journey in July. It took 8 hours for this woman to work her magic. I loved the result then and I love it now. I am not completely Loc’d yet but have received multiple compliments. When I went in for a retie in October, I was a little apprehensive because I thought it would hurt. No made it feel like a spa day. She gave me a wash with a good scrub, even put a relaxing masque in my face. I think the retie took about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Now don’t let the pricing scare you because if you are someone that gets their hair done once or more a month you would probably spend about $100 (if not more, a month) and the style would not last the whole month. For me, this was the best option and I save so much money on products because I am only using distilled water on my hair (and a little jojoba oil on my scalp). It is worth the investment because I literally just twist my hair down at night and untwist in the morning, most with water, and go. I get to spend more time with my family and getting things done. I love it and have been able to count on Mo throughout the process. Plus she doesn’t have 5 stars for nothing. Go in her shop and you’ll see that there is no reward for giving a 5 star review. People actually love her work and you can tell it’s a labor of love. (Look at the last pic)

My loc retwist was amazing! I got my retwist done right before my wedding - It was such a relaxing experience and I felt so comfortable. The scalp massage was my absolute favorite part. I will definitely be returning!

Mo is amazing! Customer service was phenomenal. It was truly an experience and her services are above & beyond! She was very professional, got started on my hair immediately when I arrived, and did an amazing job with my silk press & haircut. She would ask me questions about how are things feeling & questions about the care I’ve done for my hair recently & gave me advice on how to take care of it. You can tell she really loves & is passionate about hair and treating natural hair with the best products & best care. Book her!

I just want to start off with saying that I love my hair!! When I originally set up the consultation, I was still unsure because I had never gotten my hair professionally done before. However, Mo is extremely knowledgeable in her profession and was able to answer all of my questions. She provided me with 2 vendors and even reached out to other clients of hers to get answers for me. When it was time for my service to be performed, she made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire process. Her place of work has a professional/ homey feel that makes it feel pleasant aesthetically. Lastly, as I didn’t have the rest of the money up front, she did work with me to come up with a plan to pay her. I look forward to Mo being my new stylist for awhile!!

Mo is absolutely incredible! Her creative vision and attention to detail is unmatched. She did my hair for a wedding that I was a bridesmaid in. I sent her an idea via a photo I had seen on Pinterest. She EXCEEDED any expectation I had, using the picture as a reference but taking it to a whole new level. All the other bridesmaids were jealous of how beautiful my hair was. Not only that but she was able to complete the hair style in the perfect amount of time! I would recommend her 10 out of 10 times.

Professional, Dedicated, Natural Hair Care, Protective Styling and Versatile

I have been getting my natural hair cared for by Monique (Mo) at Treasuring Tresses for the last 7 months. In the beginning of the year I did some lengthy research and came across the great reviews and said ok, let me give this another chance, as my previous experiences with others, had left me disappointed with the whole salon process or lack thereof of real hair care. I was looking to find a cosmetologist that could not only style/braid hair, but care for natural hair as well…Mo, was a hidden gem, waiting to be found. She is truly passionate about what she does.

She is detailed, patient, and ensures that you leave happy. Her heart is in what her craft is and that in itself speaks volumes for me. I mostly keep my hair in protective styles…and my hair is looking and feeling so healthy.

I took time to write this review now, as I wanted to see results and have understood that the consistency not only comes from Mo, but my commitment in doing my part with my hair care routine at home and sitting in her blessed chair every couple of weeks for my washes, steam deep conditioning treatments, scalp massages, trims when needed, and/or what she sees my hair is in need of. Such talent is very rare. Highly recommend.

Firdt and foremost, "Mo" is definitely accredited and authenticated, check her bio...genuinely the 'truth' in her profession! I received the protective styling braids...I tell you its been two weeks and due to my texture of hair, still its protected as to a ' mama bear to her cubs!' I'm definitely impressed and satisfied...its my getaway, home from home! I'm glad we had met the way we did and being that my charisma allow me to be who I am, outspoken to create our journey together...she sure gave me the "MO" effect as I called it! Fiist of all! I've always loved the individual studio salons. Your appointment time is solely dedicated to you.

This particular visit was a little more involved than my usual appointments. However Monique was wonderful at duplicating the style that I had envisioned. Her attention to detail is stellar.

Monique is an excellent hairdresser. More than that, She goes above and beyond to give a relaxing and enjoyable experience while you’re in her chair. My natural hair has improved in its health since I’ve been going to Monique. And I so look forward to the scalp massages, warm towels, tea tree oil rinses, and all the little fine touches that she implements to make my wash day so enjoyable. Not only that, her styles last for weeks. She’s definitely a class act and I would definitely recommend!!

I haven't been to a professional in over ten years (last experience was a lasting one and very poor). BUT seeing her work on IG and hearing a close friend's testimony, I just knew I had to give this a try.
Mo was amazing. She was HIGHLY informative. She educated me on my hair and made me feel confident that I can truly get my hair on the right track.
I came in with the understanding that dead/split/damaged hair doesn't help me in my healthy hair journey so I was more than prepared for a cut. Mo gained my trust by not instantly suggesting a cut... She actually only mentioned a trim. We did agree to cut my hair after seeing some gaping holes but she wasn't "scissor-happy" at all. And that says a lot in the age of big chops.
Can't wait to see her again and get that steam treatment. My scalp was so clean and happy after my appointment.
