Star Motel

Back in 2020, myself and my Family got stuck here because of Covid-19. We stayed in the motel 1 Nite. The owner said since the country was shut down, I could rent one of the apartments across the street. They showed it to us and since we only had enough cloths for a few days it seemed like the smart thing to do. The price was right. We was there from late April till Mid July. Around 4 months. We was treated very good. I would love to go back and visit again. They are good folks.

Wow!! Truly outdid my expectations! Needed somewhere to crash at 3am after leaving a previous hotel due to finding bedbugs after checking in and ran upon this place. Only stayed until check out since we got in so late but for the price and convenience you can't beat it. Now I know it may not look the sight and be the most updated but I can say this coming from a retired housekeeper and former truck driver... literally one of THE CLEANEST hotels I've ever been to. I was very skeptical 🧐 due to the area and what I just went through but I went to sleep fully at rest there. I even did the headboard and lampshade test for dust and NOT a single speck!! NO BUGS, NO ROACHES!! Just peace and quiet and cleanliness!! The staff are friendly and polite as can be. Would highly recommend if you're in the area and you need a nice place to rest and it's right down the road from a truck stop for a quick bite!! No pics since we were exhausted coming in and rushing getting out but pics wouldn't do it justice anyway ☺

Not fancy, old school, motel. Needs some repair but the rooms were clean. Would recommend! The highlight for me was the 1940's style of the bathroom! Did not need a CC to reserve the room, which was interesting since I haven't seen that for 20 years!

I travel for a living. I stay in very expensive hotels or rent entire houses when I travel. I am very hard to please. I pulled into this motel to wait out a storm on my motorcycle trip. This motel really surprised me. Great service, comfortable, very quiet all around A+. I highly recommend.

This is a small motel that has a lot to offer. The manager is the sweetest, nicest woman you could ever meet. A basic low cost room. There is also full camper hook up. Only $50 a night!! If you are close and you need a safe clean inexpensive place to stay, this is it. In the office she has a mini grocery store. God bless!

Nice, quiet clean place. Very great value for the money. The room was very clean, property was well lit and well kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be staying again!

I heard a lot of bad things regarding this motel but after driving past and seeing how nice it looked, I thought I would give it a chance. I was impressed, it's definitely an older motel but they have been working on cleaning it up. Both rooms we stayed in were clean, had a flat screen TV with cable as well as free WiFi, a refrigerator and microwave oven too. Yes, it's an older motel but clean, nice and well worth the money. But I would suggest getting rooms from 30 - 35. They are the nicest rooms that have been updated.

~Check out is at 10am, not too crazy about that but I really can't complain because everything else is top notch!

FOR SURE A MUST DURING YOUR TRAVEL OR JUST A WEEKEND GET AWAY..

A great place to stay. Very nice and professional owners and very safe. Rooms are clean and beds and pillows are super comfortable. This is the only place I stay at when I travel to Folkston. And the price is VERY affordable. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

We have been with the star for a very long time and it's a good place, it's clean close to all the sites and a all around wonderful place to put your feet up & relax. The security is tight and it's safe for lil ones. Unlike others they have a huge clean area around back so kids can play throw a ball or take a blanket and have a picnic and look at all the trees, birds and listen to nature at its full. The location is great because it's located to where you are close to the Okefenokee & waycoss. A restaurant next door with fabulous food and gas are right there. So come see us & see for yourself that it's a good place to visit without all the fluff.

The Star is getting a bad wrap I see, but it's wrong Mr. & Mrs. Patel are very nice and they are very picky about who stays here. Families live here AMD it's quite they have a mini store at the office and are always nice. No matter what time they are available to help or aid in anyway
My opinion is they're very nice and I would stay again. I've never witnessed any bad, I jus we had pool ,that would be wonderful

Very nice people. The water had good pressure and the bed slept very good.a little dated but was a very nice stay we stay. We will be back.
