I grew up on this river. We spent our summers swimming here. First time camping at the camp site though. Wasn't a camping site when I was growing up. The site we is great. The on site hostess is extremely nice. They have a little store which is inexpensive. No way they can be making money in there. They have a snow cone area & they have multiple flavors, which was great for the grandbaby. It's pet friendly. The river is within walking distance. I mean right down a small slope. You can swim or put the boat, paddle boards, or kayaks in for the day. We are working on our 3rd day & we are already talking about coming back soon.

Nice well kept place to go swimming have a picnic. Or launch your boat and spend the day fishing

Camping is nice, it's very pretty and quiet. Fishing dock/boat access is easy. And there's a spot for littles to wade in the water and/or play in the sand. It's a sweet little campground. It's not fancy pants, but it's cozy.

You can not complain about FREE. ( cost small fee to camp up the hill )

So Beautiful 💚 and Peaceful. They even have a place for camping. Bring your camper or tent they have a place for both. A small store for bait and refreshments, plus showers in the bathroom. At times it will get very crowded though at the boat ramp.
