Our Deck Down Under

Had dinner with my brother and sister here hadn’t been here in a while. It looked like things changed this time we sat outside on the porch, and the atmosphere was wonderful. The temperature was just right, and the service was superb.
Very nice for families, especially those who like nature. We ran into this bird, I believe it’s a yellow crowned heron, although it’s much more beautiful than the pictures I saw. They named him, Harold, and you were allowed to feed him. We also saw catfish Which I uploaded pictures or a video if possible. Definitely would be going back to this place.!

That place is a gem… location is amazing… we live in Orlando and wanted some change for the day, we looked it up on google, headed there and OMG they amazed us

Right on water, service is awesome and professional, I am sure the nice lady came check on us couple of times was the owner or manager of this restaurant as we had our server who was nice too and helpful with our few special food requests!

The owner/ manager recommended us the cappuccino cheese cake and oh boy, it was worth the trial.

The appetizer we tried smoked fish was really good and the chicken was perfect.

Fish and shrimp were good, rice was really yummy and the sauces as well!

How can you beat a beautiful view on the water. Get you a big pitcher of beer and a dozen raw oysters.. that's how. Omgeee so delicious. The atmosphere was made by God. The rippling waves lapping on the sand. Oh and the fish sandwich, yes please. I had the crab cake sandwich. Both were so good, I liked the fish better. The speciality beer was a really good IPA $21 for a pitcher. The staff was great, definitely coming back.

NOTHING bad to say about this place! The food was AMAZING! Crab leg clusters were big, plump and juicy. The steamed oysters were on point. The conch fritters and hush puppies to die for! Feeding the fish from your table outside is a nice surprise for kids. Service was great also! Definitely a place to try and will coming back many many more times!

The best fish sandwich… But everything is always amazing! Oysters are delicious! Hush puppies are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Love this place!

We've been to Our Deck Down Under a few times and haven't been disappointed. The seafood is on par with the best in the Daytona/ Ormond area.

The shrimp we had today was excellent. Their fish is always good as well.

Really cool location. Beautiful views. Laid back vibes. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great food and decent local beer selection. Definitely will return again!

It’s a good spot for lunch. The fried fish and shrimp, coleslaw, and condiments were great. Hush puppies are amazing! Free refills on tea, but not soda. l would come back if I’m in the area again.

One of my favorite local spots. Go for dinner to see an awesome sunset and dolphins in the river. This is not a fancy place! The food is simple but always fresh, the service is awesome, the crowd is a mix of tourists and local beach bums like me, and their prices are still reasonable for the portions you get.

This time I went with a friend in a Saturday night for dinner. We always sit at the bar because Liz is the best. She recommended their drink of the day, a Mai Tai with a rum floater. We both ordered one and they were flavorful but nice and strong. I got the seafood platter with onion rings, my friend always gets the fish sandwich with the bacon jalapeño cheese grits. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. If you’re not into seafood (or someone in your group isn’t), there are some other options- they have a pretty good burger, a veggie burger, ribs, chicken tenders, and even grilled cheese.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, so they’ve been around a long time. Clearly they’re doing something right because a lot of local places didn’t survive Covid. Whether you’re a local or not, check out this local landmark under the Dunlawton bridge.

This is our go-to in Daytona. We stop by after every trip to the beach. Pay with cash (over $25) and get a FREE 1/2lb of shrimp

Pros:
- Daily specials Food and Drinks!
- decent food portions (nobody is leaving hungry!!)
- kids menu is simple but kid approved
-hush puppies are delightful
- everything always comes out hot and fresh

Con: coming during a meal time (lunch 11:30-1:30 or dinner 4-6) means you will wait. But no need to worry much the line moves fast.

We will definitely be back!! Where else can you have a drink and fish while you wait for a table?! The food was awesome! The fish dip is the best I've had up and down the east coast of FL! The fried shrimp, flounder, and hush puppies were top-notch!! Cameron was our server and very helpful with suggestions on what to get according to each of our tastes!! I'll let the pics describe the views here!! Overall, 10/10!!

We drove over 1,400 miles to come have lunch here. I've been coming here since I was a kid and decided to bring my kids. Everyone loved their food. Best hush puppies!! Service was amazing, as were the drinks and views!

Our bartender/waitress Liz was amazing and so sweet! The drinks were good and she was on top of it with everything! We had the grilled mahi and blackened yellow fin tuna, and both were cooked to perfection. The pups were so yummy! It's a great atmosphere on the water, nice breeze inside too. The sunset view was beautiful! Definitely recommend this place.

Requested to sit outside, and got put (in my opinion) the BEST table they had, with the best views, private, quite and with an amazing waitress. Food was delicious, I got the fried flounder, fried shrimp, hush puppies, with wild rice. My beverage was a Strawberry Mojito! Talk about a Heavenly Refreshing Drink!! Highly recommend!

Dont give up looking for the place! We had to spin around a few times. A very relaxing spot on the river. Food only 3? Well my meal was a 5!!!!! First we had the raw oysters - excellent. I had the Shrimp and Crab wrap and the side of Jalapeno Bacon Cheese Grits which were about the BEST I have ever had. It was 2 meals. 5! On the other side of the table my husband had the clam strips and we are fairly certain they came from Winn Dixies frozen food isle. Very disappointing. The deck and river made up for it (and the beer and wine). Worth the stop, just dont get the clams.

Incredible and worth the wait to get in. Most crab for the money ANYWAY and cooked to perfection. Hush puppies were the best ever too. Beautiful inlet views no matter where you sit.

Karen was our server. Unbelievable service. From the entire staff! My Mahi sandwich was one of the best I’ve had. So fresh def not frozen. And HUGE ! You won me over. I’ll be back every time. I’m in town. Well done !!

interesting location with both indoor and outdoor seating options. when i arrived, there wasn’t much of a line but the restaurant itself was very busy. we were able to be seated right away, and i thought the service was pretty quick for how crowded the restaurant got as we were eating.
i ordered the 1/2 lb crab and 1/2 lb seasoned shrimp platter. the crab was large and fairly easy to handle; the shrimp was well-seasoned (delightfully spiced) and there was a bottle of cocktail sauce on the table. i thought the portion was good and my food tasted fresh!
the place is definitely on the louder side, but not overly loud for the type of establishment. there wasn’t any blaring music or obnoxious sound. i would recommend eating here for the fresh seafood and lovely view.

note: the buns are not dairy free! staff was very helpful with allergy-related questions

Great place for great tasting seafood. The quantities were too small and was left wanting more for the price. I had the blackened scallops and it was fresh. Really good and will come back many times

The hidden places seem to be the best. Great little seafood place on the river. Great seafood, vibes, and views. Wish I would have been there earlier for the sunset. Devil crabs are fresh. Don't be shy, get a slice of Key Lime pie to top it all off.
