Sumo Japanese Steak House

It was my birthday! The food was delicious and the Service even better. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We were visiting from out of town and drove past the sign several times before taking the time to eat here. Visited on a Sunday afternoon roughly 5:00 p.m. and it was not busy. A small group was just starting so they sat my party of 2 quickly with them. The Friendly gentleman prepared our meals and entertained the children sitting at the tabl. Our scallops, shrimp, lobster, and chicken we're all delicious. We really enjoyed the salad with ginger dressing and the soup at the beginning of the meal. Two of the patrons from the other group were celebrating a birthday so they provided a little bit of entertainment by singing Happy Birthday in English and Chinese. I rather enjoyed their song with the drum and the gong. If I'm ever back this way again I will certainly be back.

Our chef was wonderful. He was accommodating when one of the guests sat together with us said he didn't like onions. That family ended up leaving without tipping, saying the chef and the main lady (I believe she's the manager) were "rude" and claiming one of them got sick. None of that was true. We come here at least once a year and have never been disappointed.

We had a to go order of 6. Our order was a bit confusing since we have picky eaters. However, the entire order was perfect. The portion sizes were good, even for the kids meals and everything was fresh. The lady that bagged our food up was super friendly! We will be back soon!

Me and the guys went here; we arrived at the parking lot, hardly anyone there, one of the customers said we had found the right place. We had to wait a while for service until one of the people who said something enjoying the food went and got one of them. After that, I don't know what half these comments were talking about. Incredibly nice people, a huge plate, and damn tasty food. I didn't get sick either. Great show too.

I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could!! Me, my husband and our daughter went there for dinner last night. The wait staff was super friendly and happy, the hibachi cook was also super friendly and held conversation with us the whole time he prepared our food. Our toddler was getting fussy at some points and he even talked to her and cheered her up with his hibachi skills! We accidentally left our daughters tablet by one of the chairs and after we left and I was buckling my daughter in the car seat the lady that busses the tables came out to our car and brought it to me. Wonderful, wonderful people! And the food was AMAZING! Huge portions! We had to get Togo boxes 😍

First time there was tonight. It was wonderful!! Food was AMAZING! Chef was very friendly & nice, so is the older lady. Plus, we got to sit with some very nice people as well. Great experience all around. Will be back!

Great food and even better service. My wife and I went their tonight for our anniversary because she has fond memories of Sumo from her childhood. The food was flavorful and service was excellent. I was hesitant because I'd seen some negative reviews, and the restaurant decor feels dated, but it was the best food I've ever had at a Japanese steak house. Can't wait to go back!

Great food and experience we had a wonderful chef was a fun and great time will definitely eat there again some complain about the price but when you factor in it's like dinner and a show (food cooked before you and our chef was very funny and extremely professional) it's not really

Best Japanese place we've ever been! Mr. Kim was so funny and genuine! He used new tricks we had never seen and was an all around joy to watch! Thank yall for a great experience!

Waiting time and organization isn't the best but the food is absolutely unbeatable! I've been going here every year for my birthday since I was a little girl and hope to keep doing so for many more years

Had a blast with family and friends. Daniel was our chef and was awesome entertainment and the food he prepared was delicious. Haven't been to Sumos in years but I will go back again soon.

Sumos is one of our family favorites! Always an enjoyable time and generous helpings giving you food for the next day! The owners are sweet as can be great! Great for a celebration or just a fun Friday night!!

Wonderful hibachi style food! Yes it is kind of high priced, but you get what u pay for. They e had their bad times like any place, but overall, the food is wonderful and the atmosphere is fun.

Great place, funny chef, good food and amazingly kid friendly. If you're anything like me then you prefer dimmed lighting (i have anxiety and bright lights make me anxious).

I like hibachi restaurants in general so I have visited many, in multiple cities and states.
Sumo is hands down the best to date!

I have seen better "showmanship" at other hibachi places but these guys have some skills. Personally, I'm in it for the food.
Sumo's fried rice...No one has even comes close to this deliciousness. Worth the trip just by itself!
The filet mignon may just be the best you have ever had. Full of flavor and as smooth as butter. You won't find steak this good at your neighborhood 'chain' steakhouse.

It's not exactly cheap but it's well worth the visit when you feel like you deserve a special treat, or you want to treat someone else.

Ladies...try the "Madame Butterfly". It's a Sumo original and sort of a hidden local treasure if you enjoy a good cocktail.

P.S. If your chef comes out with his knives in a gun belt...prepare yourself for an especially good meal.

Amazing food. True hibachi steak house. Wonderful service. Will be returning soon. We didnt see the sign for the upstairs lounge until we were leaving.

Even though they appeared to be short staffed and it took a while to get our food, service was pretty good, and the food was great!
