Holly House of Hamilton

We went to see the Fantasy of Lights, but the highlight of our trip was our brief stay at the Holly House. Don and Judy made it so comfortable and were the perfect hosts. They made you feel like you were truly their guest and went out of their way to make it a positive experience. I highly recommend it! Thank you Don and Judy.

What a magical place to stay, with vintage decor that takes you back in time, and all the modern conveniences you need. The owners welcome you like family, the food is out of this world, and the beds are super comfortable. I brought my Mom on this trip for a Christmas visit to my sister who lives nearby. We both are ready to come back again! Thank you Don and Judy…or as we came to know them…Mr and Mrs Claus!

We had a delightful experience from reaching out to make a reservation until being asked if we wanted to take a snack for the road as we left. We were welcomed like family. There were 3 kinds of freshly baked cookies on the table as we walked in. Don and Judy love having their Bed & Breakfast and it shows. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, the grounds had many places to sit and enjoy the porch and yard. It was quiet. We had wonderful options for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. Everything fresh and made from scratch. Don had a menu for us to choose from when we got settled in. We shared our choices and he asked us what kind of bread/muffins we wanted. I said I didn't want to choose - as delicious as the cookies were I wanted to be surprised. I made the comment that as good as those cookies were I imagined Judy knew how to make great biscuits but didn't ask for them. The next morning, she had made a pan of delicious biscuits - very thoughtful.
They were security conscious as well and we felt safe.
I went for a walk the next morning. They are near the square and a multi-mile walking trail made from the old railroad tracks. I went several miles and it was a great path.
We highly recommend Holly House and look forward to the opportunity to return!

Such a fabulous place to stay. The house is decorated with such detail. I cant say enough about our host. They are so kind and made sure all of our needs are met with care. If you go for no reason other than a place to stay with breakfast, this is your place. Outstanding and delicious. We will be back in the spring.

Don and Judy were very welcoming and very friendly. Absolutely felt comfortable and relaxed staying here. Feels like you are staying with family. The breakfast and the desserts were all homemade! Very delicious! The vintage decor makes you feel like you went back in time. Absolutely loved it! Cannot wait to go back! I very much recommend this great Bed and Breakfast! The Holly House is very close to Callaway Gardens, Pine Mountain and great nearby restaurants. Extremely good location.

This lovely B&B place is a jewel in the quaint town of Hamilton. Don and Judy, the hosts, go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The house is decorated beautifully with the old Victorian charm and equipped with the modern convenience. Judy made the most delicious breakfast and made sure you are fed and happy. The kitchen has trays of home made cookies always ready for you. And the bird watching back porch is a perfect spot to relax with a cup of tea. I love the military room, make sure you read the poems on the wall. Also in the library, there are lots of books and DVDs, the good read there is the history scrapbook of the Holly House of Hamilton!

Everything is exactly like the pictures on the website and more! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! Thank you Don and Judy for hosting us!

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay great family,great food,served with great customer service that left a warm welcome feeling inside,my wife and I were treated so special, we had opportunity to meet the whole family very lovely family with three children Gavin,Callie,and William very nice polite children with nice smiles on their faces. My wife,and I will return for a stay when we have that opportunity if do go work up a go appetite for breakfast, because they serve plenty.

Awesome B&B! Our excellent experience at the Holly House started even before checking in. My wife and I needed to reduce our stay from 2 nights to 1 night, and I called the day of check in to see if they could accommodate. They quickly and easily adjusted our booking. When we arrived, it was like we entered a magical world! The decorations and atmosphere will lift anyone’s spirits. We walked to an ice cream shop in the town of Hamilton (delicious) and it was the idyllic southern town experience! The rooms are great for rest and relaxation. We also loved using the reading room! Breakfast was great, and the service with our hosts’ TLC was even better! We wish we could have stayed longer, and would love to go back!

PS: be careful scheduling things early in the morning. The bed was so comfortable we had a hard time waking up! :)

Judy and Don are what make the B&B experience far superior to any hotel. They are personable, their home is beautiful, clean, and filled with interesting artifacts to keep a conversation going for hours. Judy dressed in period attire while we were there... an added treat for us! I highly recommend the Holly House of Hamilton for a fun and relaxing stay!

This home is so very comfortable and is the perfect b&b! Don and Judy were great hosts, we could not have asked for anything more. Our breakfast was delicious and made to order, just wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the sweet rocking chair porch. We will definitely return!

This is mine and my wife (and my 9-year-old daughter's) first stay at a bed & breakfast ever. Don and Judy were as nice as can be, they're great people. They spent a lot of time decorating and even more time cleaning. The breakfast and service is second to none. It is quaint, quiet and peaceful. The owners' daughter and grandkids were there and I hardly heard a peep. My wife and I played billiards until after 9pm and no one was bothered. If you want to sit and chat with anyone from the other two rooms you can, or you can sit out on one of the porches and enjoy the birds. The only (and I mean only) downfall is, to be in a quaint quiet area you have to be a ways out. There is a few Gas stations around but if you really want a good dinner or thing major, the nearest Walmart and town was about 25 minutes away I believe.

Holly and I were visiting the Hamilton area, and found The Holly House! What a Delight!!! The ambiance was amazing, and the owners soon became good friends, as well as the fellow lodgers. They helped us to continue on our journey with a wonderful breakfast. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

This house is so charming and hospitable! I had a lovely stay; John and Judy are the nicest hosts. They went above and beyond to accommodate my schedule, which I greatly appreciated.

From the overflowing plates of homemade cookies, to the softest sheets and cozy bed, to the delicious coffee and homemade breakfast...this place is delightful! Don and Judy are some of the nicest people we've met, and made my toddler and I feel right at home. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Holly House is not just a place to stay, it is an experience to remember. The hosts are friendly and efficient; the food is absolutely delicious and unique. And the price is extremely affordable. And did I mention beautiful, historical, and most comfortable beds ever??

Judy and Don are super nice and make you feel very comfortable. The decor and mood is very relaxing and my wife said that she felt like she was home. Breakfast is delicious and the coffee is good and strong. We really are enjoying our stay here

Everything was perfect! Judy, the owner, greeted us, gave a tour, and showed us to our room. She made the kids feel special with evening treats, candy bowls galore, heart shaped pancakes with requested chocolate chips, and even a music demonstration in the music room. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. I would recommend a stay at Home House of Hamilton!

Stayed at Holly House St Patrick's day weekend in 2019. Judy prepared Irish Biscuits which were very good (GREAT)
and we had fruit and berries along with
butter and other things to enjoy with them.
In addition we had an excellent prepared to
order breakfast presented at the time we requested. I have stayed at several Bed/Breakfasts, all were good, this was definitely our favorite (wife and I). Hopefully we can stay with Judy and Don again. I wish that I
could award Judy a doctorate in hospitality.
They are great hosts.
The second morning, rembering that
we mentioned our neighbor is Scandinavian,
Judy prepared a couple of Scandinavian dishes. Everything was delicious!

We had such a wonderful time. We loved our room. The decorations were stunning. It was pretty much near everything we wanted to see. The breakfast was great. We enjoyed the pool table.The owners, Judy and Don, were very accommodating. Loved this place and will be back.

Best bed and breakfast I have ever been to! We came back after almost 5 years because we loved it so much. Judy and Don are excellant hosts! The attention to detail is impeccable. Beautiful house. Home away from home! Amazing food! Get the grits. Wonderful, restful, warm, and welcome stay. We will return again!
